If he has snapped the plantar tendon that will have stability and muscular ramifications down the track, not good from memory

There is a difference in snapping the tendon and actual fasciaitis (however its spelled)Seems an over reaction.
Often the tendon ruptures without the attendant inflammation beforehand, that he has had for a few weeks.
I ruptured my plantar tendon playing basketball and was back in 10 days and I was almost 40 when I did it.
Not a big deal and no long term damage.
Or am I missing something?
From memory that's one of those tendons we no longer use, so snapping it will actually remove the discomfort while having no functional draw back, apart from the short term inflamation.
