I criticised Laird for putting DBJ in a position to flop. Although I don't like it, a certain goal means a lot of players are going to flop in the F50 after a mark/free. Just don't touch them, simple stuff.

Keays is a decent speaker
I liked this kid when he was kicking goals with great accuracy in his first season. Now I’m loving him more seeing how hard he’s worked over the preseason, and appears to have worked on his deficiencies (defensive skills, team ethos).
His elite soccer skills not only make him a dangerous forward, but I can see him doing well in the midfield, particularly when you need someone to do a quick kick as a forward entry!

As great as the soccer assist was (and it was incredible, especially when you see the reverse angle), I'm actually more impressed with the pass to Fog.
The clean take, step inside, lowering his eyes and then the touch on the kick to weight it perfectly, was all elite. Play of the day for mine.

After the barren Gallucci, McHenry, McAsey draft years, Hamish has knocked a few out of the park
We got Worrell in the same draft as McAsey, so I choose to look at it like we got out good top 10 pick anyway.
But you are right, our recruiting has been alot better in the last few years. We also have a number of good kids we haven't tried yet like Edwards and Ryan.
Just watched the interview now, you know what's even worse about Nicks hitting Rachele for flopping? He wasn't even asked, he just straight up said it unprompted when they were replaying footage of the Swans game and then gave the opening to Whately to pounce on him for it.
They showed the footage, I mean it was pretty obvious

Last night on fiveaa commentary they said at half time that Rankine would need to get 4 in the last half to win.
In pressure situations I trust Rachele far more even in wet conditions.
All we need was 3 a piece from Rachele and Keays to get over the line. Not Rankine at all.

I think Rankine is trying just a tad too much in recent weeks, like he’s trying to make every possession look like magic. Rachele looks a bit more measured with his plain disposals versus mercurial ones.
Yeah agreed, seems like Rankine is crowding his own work and trying hard to get touches. I still think we need to get him on the outside more.
