I don't remember him attempting any long kicks, he always looked to be trying to pinpoint a pass when he did kick it.

I'm fairly certain step sons aren't eligible. Only biological sons.
what's his kicking like? long, penetrating? seemed to be really good off both sides in his u18s video but obviously too hard to tell based on his first proper hit out. can anyone who goes down to training give us an insight?
Simpson, Mora, Mundy, Fyfe, Barlow, Hill, Pearce, Pearce, Mzungu - if that happens in the future, we will be close to unstoppable!
That's what his job description card read and he followed it to the letter till he was instructed to try the long shot for goal .I don't remember him attempting any long kicks, he always looked to be trying to pinpoint a pass when he did kick it.

Big call. Sonny landed one from outside 50 in the rain against GC a few back. He has real distance not just flat and hard. His kicking is exquisite off both sides. If you watch him kick on his left you could easily mistake him for a lefty. He's capable of a long bomb but can send it low and hard inside 50 just like Sonny Walters. (Can probably kick it further than Sonny though).
Clarke I believe. Clarke had just turned around to start running forward and the ball shot back at him almost before he knew it was there.
I knew Josh could run and kick, but his tackling and defensive pressure have come up to AFL class a lot quicker than I expected, and his vision and handspeed in contested/ground ball situations is probably the biggest surprise. He keeps doing it too... did it over and over in the Peel games I saw on TV and did the same on a number of occasions in the Dons game. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he turns out to be one of our best at this, based on what I've seen so far (small sample, but I'll take liberties).
Kid has more weapons than I realised. Really happy for him and his family. Terrific debut, and really looked like he enjoyed it.

The kick to Taberner in the third (with the right) was a thing of beauty.
