Toast Josh Thomas

Josh Thomas has been a happy inclusion this season. Great job by the club sticking by him throughout the injury prone first few years, now we are enjoying the rewards. I know it is said quite often but our recruiters do a wonderful job.

Seedsman has proven nothing

Fantastic game on the weekend, getting into packs, laying tackles, chasing and harassing, getting on the end of chains and showing some dash, getting forward and kicking goals.

Really is cementing a permanent slot in the side.

Seedsman is one of few I feel comfortable sweeping long range goals. Inconsistent yes but has definitely proven his worth so far.

As for Thomas, that was probably his best game so far..if only he could finish off those goals. Hopefully it comes in time with confidence.

Enjoyed his game. Thought he was one of the best.

Inside and outside game was great. Disposal was fine, and none of them were really that bad.

Showed a bit of toe, always imagined him quite slow, but maybe it's due to his injuries or adjustment to AFL pace.

We may have a beauty on our hands here.

Im glad you enjoyed it flog
Stand up might be your calling me thinks. Btw, Seedsman polled 8 coaches votes against Brisbane. I'd wager the coaches might know just a little more than you, even though u come across as a very knowledgable person.

Am a huge fans. Some of you may remember I had my doubts when everyone was calling him into the side for the past 2 years :P. But he has convinced me, he is only 21 aswell. A few more season in the gym and we could have our own little Josh Kennedy running around. If only he was taller.

I apologise for the flog comment, I do.

I understand he played well against Brisbane, and I am very pleased to admit that, but I just want to see some consistency.

He is the type of player in my eyes that cant get comfortable at such an early stage.

He has a lot of physical attributes and great skills, I just want to see him continually develop himself into a gun and work on his consistency and decision making

First season as a regular feature in the seniors, sure you not being over critical? Remember a bloke name Dale Thomas, flashy, inconsistent in his early days? I'd rather Seeds back himself to do the things he thinks he can do, still do the team things but kicking those goals outside of 50 will win us a big game one day.

When you make a statement like he has done nothing the fan bois will come out in force :)

Not only the 'fan bois' but the legitimate pies supporters with intelligent thoughts and ideas. People are entitled to an opinion without automatically being stereotyped as fan bois.

Fans who got on Josh early might be right. I've been happy with his debut season but Sunday he looked clean and composed in traffic and quick, a real weapon. Our Sam Mitchell in time?

I was implying i was one of the fan bois :rainbow:

i remember seeing him at the 2010 intra club game and he was tearing everyone a new one, the yr we won the flag too, can see him being a super player if injury free..

He's game on Sunday showed he has all the attributes, his kicking was solid and he showed a bit of toe to break out of the stoppages.

The only negative I've noticed is he seems to coast between contests. He needs to work harder to get to the contest and provide pressure, that will come with another pre-season under his belt.

Love the work Thomas does on the inside of packs. Would love to see him work on his handball a lot more and try and become an elite distributer by hand as I'm not sure his foot disposal will ever be polished enough.

Surprised by how fast he is, if he improves his kicking and decision making will become a very good player

I think his efficiency has improved a lot in the last few games. I'm starting to think that he could be a top midfielder in a few years. I'm not a great fan of small midfielders but he looks like he has a bit of power in that body of his and I've noticed that he's on the move in stoppages and I like that too.

I must admit that his left foot goal took me by surprise..

Exceptional.

Clearance work is awesome and always is on the move which gives him great advantage. His burst from congestion is also good. Kicking has improved and he is finally settling as a best 22 midfielder.

There was a stat on the weekend where he has been averaging high clearance numbers than Pendles and Swanny or something along those lines over the last month.

He is a star.

And turning it over trying to do to much could cost us a game one day? 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

He certainly has shown good signs, I just want some consistency. He shouldn't be comfortable, and content at his age - I want him to really push on with the natural abilities he has

Consistency comes with experience. You show me a 20 something consistent player in his first season & I'll show you 20 that aren't.
