Judd behind schedule

Its one thing to be looking good on the training track running in a straight line but the real test will be when he starts having to twist and turn in a game situation week in week out. We will not really know whether Judd's surgery has worked until well into the second half of this season. I am on record as saying that he won't last the season before breaking down again. I hope not though because he is such a great player and I would prefer to see him playing, regardless of who he plays with.

The number of health professionals coming on to BF seems to be increasing (GP's, surgeons, physios, proctologists etc). Can only give the site more cred :thumbsu:.

Because you're some type of medical expert??? Get your hand off it. You could be right but don't just sit back and say stupid s**t, unless you have assesed and spoken to him about his groin and actually know what you are talking about.

I agree. We should all be proud of the class of poster we are attracting to BF these days. I say we lobby for a Medical board to accommodate them all.

Yes but only Matthew Lloyd was willing to trade them.
Don't even get me started on that again

I was just pointing out to the other bloke what West Coast would have liked at Essendon (because he said we have no talent), not who we would trade for him, like Lloyd.

This is a shame for Judd.. But karma for carlton

Nothing like having the support of your captain :thumbsu:.

Hey, I just had a thought. Lloydy would make a great sub-mariner captain: "Dive, Dive, Dive".

Whilst big Lance probably wouldn't make a great KFC employee
Fortunately Lance has retired so those jibes are like water off a duck's back now.

Q: What rights do opposition supporters have on the Carlton board?

a) As much right as any Carlton supporter
b) The right to post constructively and with respect
c) Oh shit, I don't know. I had better read the rules thread

Touchy, touchy! Listen you goose, I don't need to have spoken to him personally to express an opinion. We live in a world where free speech is not only allowed but encouraged. One thing is clear - the rumblings that all is not well with Judd's surgery/recovery are spreading, and usually where there is smoke there is fire...

Some random guy on a internet forum is "on record" saying that Judd won't last the season? Damn, I never realized just how badly Judd's injury was. Last time I take the opinion of our medical staff over that of some random BF poster. :(

Not on this board.

We don't care what you think.

You're just another bitter WCE or opposition fan who is hoping Judd's body fails him.

A story posted on Bomberblitz isn't a credible source if it contradicts the info posted by Carlton fans on this site and others.

Rumblings? From where? Bomberblitz and an article that says that he's a few weeks behind? Or do you count BF Carlton-bashing bullshit as 'rumblings'?

Actually if you read my initial post you would know that I said I would love to see him playing footy. He is the best player in the AFL (IMO) and I love watching him play. Unlike most Carlton supporters, I'm just realistic enough to know that there are question marks over his fitness which did not exist 12 months ago. Based on Judd's own comments, I'd be very surprised if he plays in Round 1.

You and most other Carlton supporters. Time to get your head out of the sand I think.

Judd is coming along on schedule...

all this stuff is funny...

Sells plenty of papers and keeps the gossip threshold high...

Speaking to club officials over the weekend...

No problem...

Judd was just being aloof....

You had your say, now you are just being rude. Time to walk away.

I'm a little concerned.. a colleague of mine brought up today that on the rumour file Judd will be out for the season.

I'm feeling quesy

That would be an okay outcome actually. If, like Stevo his injury needs a season off, so what? We were never going to get too far up the ladder in 08, most people thinking our real resurgence will come in 09. Throw the young players into it this year knowing Judd will be entering the fray next year (hopefully) fully recovered. Relatively speaking for us, we've waited a while for some signs of success. We could use this season as another building year for our very young side.

I think that rumor is crap anyway but I think you're trying to be a bit too positive.

If Judd was out for the season it would be a disaster. Just the same as it would if Fev was out or Kerr for the Eagles. Having a quality players out for the season is about as disaterous as it gets. I don't get what you're saying at all. :(

I don't know - I'd much prefer Judd out for a season than have him struggle for 3+ years ala Luke Ball. Still, it'd be tough waiting another season for Judd to debut.

Of course I'd rather that but it wouldn't be as thylacine60 said, "an okay outcome". It would be a horrible outcome if he had to sit out the season.
