Juddy knows when his body is right, he will be on the pitch by round 3 at the latest!!!

His groin is healing quickly, better than expected. He didn't have a dodgy surgery, Carlton's management made sure that he saw one of the best surgeons in the land, I mean....if you had invested over $800k a year in a player, wouldn't you want to make sure that it was properly looked after / treated?

All the sour grapes and jealousy from everybody making speculation that Judd will crumble is just something to laugh at.....furiously. Seriously get over the fact that he chose us and not your team! You can't reverse this now!

He had the surgery done straight after he announced he was leaving West Coast so Carlton had no say in it.

I don't think there is much to really read into this, i mean i think Judd is being honest when he says "its coming along a little slower than expected but unlikely i'll miss rd.1."

As i've said, if he's not in full training within the next couple of weeks i would consider him an outside chance to play Rd.1 against Richmond.

My take on all of this:

Judd had a serious injury. He's recovering and may or may not be ready for 1. No one apart from Judd and the Carlton medical staff know for sure.

But at the end of the day, he's paid his own salary (and then some)through the increase in memberships and revenue he's bought to the club. So if he sits out another year, it sucks, but to talk about it in financial terms is silly - the only things Judd has really cost us are no 3 and Kennedy.

So lets just calm the **** down and wait for round 1.

I don't think you need to get worked up by posts from a supporter whose team has failed them miserably for nearly 10 years now, without fail.

At least we're on the incline. I sense envy in their attempts to spin crap.

The fact that the great man will eventually be in a carlton jumper is enough for me at this stage.

Even watching him run laps etc. in the carlton gear has been the most excitement we've had in years...!!!!:thumbsu:

Tell me about it. Just the sight of him in a Carlton training top is just stuff that dreams are made from.

Not a troll here Juddy is one of my favourite players of all time.

I've just heard he will be out for the whole season. Anyone heard anything about this?

Can someone tell me how old Fitzpatrick Kernahan and Koutafides were when they were made captain?

Fitzpatrick was made captain in 1980 (age ~27) after winning the B&F in 1979 (a premiership season). It should be noted that Jezza was Captain/Coach until 1980 when he moved to St Kilda.

Kernahan came over to Carlton from Glenelg in 1986 as a 22 year old and was made captain the following year.

Kouta became captain in 2004 at the age of 31.
