If there were still issues re Judd's groin, I doubt very much whether he would be doing anything at all bar rest. The investment is way too large to risk. My guess is he will be right for round 1, but if he isnt, who cares, as long as when he does get back he is 100%.

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but bee dee is semi right. Judd did have some soreness in his groin, but this was acted upon immediately, so you'd imagine he was told to just ease up a little.

He most certainly hasn't broken down, as per the report from bee dee.

I am beginning to wonder if Judd's response to the Herald Sun was a bit of a tease because he is sick of being asked how his groin is going. "It could be Round 1, it could be Round 12." Sounds to me like someone who is well & truly over talking about his groin, particularly when you consider his partner was questioned about it on SEN, as well. The club also would not be wanting to give anything away at this time.

I would suggest we continue to keep him under wraps, only playing him in match simulations at closed training sessions. Then we can get to Round 1 & have Richmond none the wiser as to whether he will be playing or not.

I hope all the carlton comments are correct and Judd will be right.
We may have to prepare ourselves for the worst and may only see glimpses of Judd's brilliance in the future.
All Carlton fans would be devastated and all genuine footy fans would be disappointed at not seeing Judd at his best.
I hope the club is prepared if he does seriously break down and the carlton fans are ready to move forward without the Juddster....

I'm guessing he's the first person Wallet & Mrs Miller think of when they wake up in the morning, for entirely different reasons.
i doubt that wallace wakes up thinking about judd, richmond played west coast for the last 5-6 years with judd, kerr, cousins, embley, cox etc big deal
he,s hardley going to be worried about judd in the carlton lineup its a really silly comment judd is 1 player (CHAMPION NO DOUBT) but so was voss,hird,kouta,carey,ablett...judd is no diffrent.
judds matchup will be jackson & he will be hitting him hard testing that groin from start to finish he WILL have a lot of bruises when the game is over.

Question, if Stevens (or any player in this instance) was to be elected captain, only have a season ending injury in the early stages of the year, would he still keep the role of captaincy? In all rights he should, but I'd like to know how you feel about it.

dude does jackson give anyone a bruise? let alone the best players in the game? don't kid yourself. the only way hes even going to have a chance to even touch judd is if judd is infact hampered in the first place. you've never stopped him before and it's not gonna start happening now.

Wallace and Miller may not wake up thinking about Judd every morning, but KB does. Could that guy have read a situation more wrong. Time to go out to pasture KB.

yeah have to agree with you there hbf . i think kb got abit beyond himself there. dont think richmond really had any chance secureing judd & to be honest dont really think we really intended getting him . it was all just banter amongst the clubs to keep eachother honest there................ in respons to daveyblues comment you really havnt watched jackson play have you, do you actually know who d.jackson is seriously man judd has never destroyed richmond, the tigers actually do ok against the eagles.

That's what Miller kept saying through Trade Week, however, Richmond were never in the running to get Judd.

I am interested to know how this is going to happen within the rules of the game. It is not that hard to test out a shoulder, a knee, even a sore hand (ask Matty Lloyd about this one) without breaking the rules, but testing out an opponent's groin & leaving him with lots of bruises, is an interesting concept.

Define "OK". Richmond hasn't defeated West Coast since 2002.
