Actually, an argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition. Whereas contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.

I belive the whole thing stems from (a medical person) who recently said he wouldn't have done the type of surgery Judd had done, he would have done it differently, even though his method would have meant a longer recovery.
His statement was along the lines of suggesting that Judd may be more likely to break down because he didn't get to do the surgery.
Medical dick swinging from the sounds of it.
"They should have listened to me, they should have done it my way, and they didn't, so don't blame me when he breaks down in two months".


And as of this week, Judd is still in full training overseas.
 
He is not in full training as of yet.

I must say, although I don't think he has broken down, I do believe he may have attempted to do too much too early. Apparently after the Christmas break he was to join full training, now we're in Fenruary and I still haven't seen the great man kick the footy more than 40m. Perhaps there was a slight tweaking of the groin in early Jan?

I'm not overly concerned, although I would like to see him in full training within the next couple of weeks.
 
i love watching juddy play and i hope he is there for the blockbuster match between the tigers and the blues. I did want to ask blues supporters do they think that judd will be ready by round 1. If he is not doing full training by now with only 8 weeks to go, and the likelyhood he will miss most nab cub games will he be ready?? would carlton play a 80% fit judd round 1 or would a safe round 4 or 5 debut be a better option??

I guess an 80% fit Judd is still an exceptional player and will be an onfield leader, and as much as you need to play from the bench, and assuming no impact on his injury long-term, we'd need and want to play him.

Also a phrase 80% fit Judd doesn't mean he wont be able to run out a match. his running and pace is never in question, its his lateral movement and groin work that needs some more time.

I don't think the fitness is the worry, he's probably the fittest at the club in regards to miles in his legs (e.g time trial etc), it is his kicking and general match simulated training which he has missed a fair chunk of this pre-season, however I am not worried because if there is one player in the comp that can pick up his skills from a break quickly it is Chris Judd.

I'd expect him to join in full training the week after the boys get back from Sth Africa - anything later than that than there must be a genuine concern he won't be ready for Rd.1 against Richmond.
 
I for one am wrapt to hear that Chris Judd broke down last week or when ever... Looking at the pictures in todays HUN if he moves like that a week after "breaking down" god help other teams when he is fully fit in 4 weeks time...

btw to the thread start... your a toss bag... please vacate the Carlton board and concentrate on your clubs imminent death! Enjoy the time they have left!

The main road out of Kinglake is shut for urgent repairs at the moment Bluebear... it's not that thylacine60 doesnt want to get out... the town cant go anywhere!
