Did you just make up 'facts' to support your argument? The players birth dates:

Gary Ablett Jr - May 14 1984
Chris Judd - September 8 1983

No doubt Judd has achieved more, but that could well be changed by the end of this year. Ablett should win the Brownlow. If he doesnt, it just shows that the Brownlow is not a good indicator of who is better, because Ablett SHOULD have won it last year. Dont get me wrong, I was extremely happy for Jimmy Bartel who is a worthy Brownlow Medallist, but Ablett was more deserving. Everyone who follows Geelong closely would acknowledge this. Every other award went to Ablett!

Also, the Judd name earns him awards. TBH, he probably didnt deserve the Norm Smith in WCE GF loss. Roberts-Thompson was best on ground. Judd got it because he was named Judd.

Awards aside, my biased opinion is that Abletts form in the past 1.5 years is eclipsing what Judd ever produced.

Ablett just needs to keep going for more years and he will end up being the better player. Judd did it from a phenomenally early age, which Ablett didnt do. Going by his bloodlines and how his dad developed late, I feel that Ablett hasnt peaked yet. he will one day make a brilliant forward.

Oh yeah, and I bet Ablett costs a ____load less!

:thumbsu:Yep. He nailed it

Judd is now on

$2495 per possession

$84898 per goal

I doubt Ablett would be on that much, mostly because his output is much more.

You work in the CFC accounting department do you?

And if we were going to take $1m per year, on his 32 touches (18 contested) from yesterday then he is worth $1,420.45 for every touch.

Short memories people, refer to first 8 rounds 2007!
Both 24 years old, one with 6 solid season of footy behind him, the other with 1 & a half.

I don't think you have to look far past the no.5 in the navy blue until such times where Gazza dominates the competition for a couple of years like Juddy has.

2-3 years from his peak?...

Possibly 3-4 years. Yesterday he applied the afterburners on a few occasions. Was impressive. So he's not far away from getting his full speed back. Williams and Bradley are helping him develop his talent better than at Weagleland, where his role was pretty one-dimensional. It's going to be amazing to just see how much better he'll be. :)

As usual you are blatantly ignoring reality.

Judd is a gun but the groin injuries have hurt the pace he once had. He's not slow, but he doesn't have the acceleration he once did.

Like Luke Ball who has recovered but does not have the same movement he did pre-groin injuries, Judd will be the same.

It was amazing that he looked quick yesterday, when he didnt have 2-3 blokes scragging at every bloody contest. Ask Cooney if he doesnt have that pace and acceleration anymore mate.

Made the speedy Dogs mids look pedestrian.

wha a silly post, judd is a better player than williams or bradley.
what can those 2 possibly teach judd.

judd has forgotten more than bradley or williams ever knew

why do you people insist on making parrot change his team to carlton? i think it's fairly obvious when he uses words such as 'us' and 'our' when talking about carlton. i mean it's not as if he acts like he's a collingwood supporter.

McManus2waterhouse, and parrot are undeclared carlton supporters. It's just weak and poor form.

goa nd check some of M2w's other posts, i had the same suspicion as you but i checked some of his other posts and the only player he praises is gibbs and i think everything he says about him is warranted, in fact he was initially bagging gibbs for starting off bad against deledio but changed his tune after the richmond game. and he's said a lot of bad things about some of our other players like murphy. don't think he's a carlton supporter.

as for parrot, he doesn't deny or try to hide that he is a carlton supporter, as i said before he regularly uses the words "us" and "we" when talking about carlton.
