Jesus Christ. LRT clearly deserved that medal. Every time I rewatch that game I'm more and more mystified as to why he didn't.
I'm of the same opinion, he was BOG. Does anyone have the votes for the day? It would be interesting to see just where he placed and how many votes it took to rob him of a norm smith.

Buckley at his best was a better inside player than Judd has been so far, Buckley holds the clearance record for his 2003 season.

Buckley a better user of the football, a better mark, could play tall (remember him beating Carey when the Duck was at his peak in the late 90s) and a much better leader.

One of Buckley's best games came in his second last season of footy, in 2006.

Against the Lions at the G.....he had 30 touches, 13 marks and kicked 6 goals, pretty solid for a bloke who was battling dodgy hamstrings!

Buckley was the better player.

Judd looks better when in space bursting from a pack whilst having Kerr, Stenglien, Chick, Fletcher and co holding, bumping and blocking for Judd who incidentally couldn't hit the side of a barn in his early days.

Judd at his peak was better than Buckley. Needs a few more seasons of top quality football to pass him over their careers, but I think he should be able to do that.

I'm of the same opinion, he was BOG. Does anyone have the votes for the day? It would be interesting to see just where he placed and how many votes it took to rob him of a norm smith.
He was nowhere near the Norm Smith- rightly or wrongly, I don't know. Can't say I recall much of that particular game.

judd at the eagles was exceptional, i remember him and the rest of the eagles midfielders scoring all the goals which quinten lynch laughed at how he even go a game. Having said that Buckley was simply a jet, who knows what might have happened if he didnt do his hammy so badly. Judd's second charlie was a joke, he should have been suspended. He may have played well last season but if thats the case then all of the sudden Mckernan and Grant are brownlow medallists and Rob Harveys career doesnt look as good. Bucks disposal and overall output during hard times last 90's and earlys 2000's put him ahead in my book.

I'd give Judd up/any of our current players up to have Buckley back in our team... To have a kick like that is worth the most in football imo.
