Gut-wrenching stuff. Looks like they've moved on from the denial section of grieving straight into anger. They'll get to acceptance eventually I suppose.
Have you been watching Aker of late? In fact this entire year?
Oh and for those of you who are currently doubting Judds ability...

Haha yes Aker is having a great season but if you think he has the same speed and explosive power he had during his brownlow season when he ran in the lions midfield you are blind.
There is no doubt judd is a class act and is still a very good player, an %80 judd is still worth having in your side than no judd at all of course. But the FACT is that he isnt as quick, has lacked the ability to break a tackle like he used to and he is not as explosive. Whether he regains these abilities is YET TO BE SEEN, if he does then congratulations carlton you made a great trade, if not then he is still valuable to the team so you made an OK trade and if it turns out that the groin turns out to be a chronic injury then im sorry carlton but then you made a shit trade. End of Story.

Of course Aker isn't at the same speed... he is about what 4-5 years older FFS... The measure is their ability to use what they have and adapt. Have a look at Aker's body type when he won the brownlow to today... he himself has said his backside is now larger so he can get more power and drive... he has adapted, he uses every ounce of speed he has to get to ther right spots but is still able to afterburn away from a bloke and is still, if not more able now to break a tackle than in his brownlow year.

May I direct your attention to Luke Ball and Luke Hodge? Yes they both have never had the blistering pace that Judd possessed but their capabilities are back to their pre OP/abductor problems. They are both breaking tackles and bursting through packs and kicking long bombs with ease. The difference is they both had doctors and medical personal who thought things through rather than played the bloke into the ground! To use an analogy to put it into simpler terms for you, Judd is essentially a ferrari for sale. The pervious owner was a twat and he treated it like a piece of shit, the new owner has seen a plethora of potential and has taken possession, slowly rebuilding it back to pristine condition. Now it is the end of story, good day to you sir...
All hail the man with some medical knowledge. At first i wasn't going to reply to this rediculous post but i couldnt help myself, don't worry this is the last time i will.
Judd's a ferrari for sale ? hmmm didn't know Carlton were already trying to flog him off. Judd played through the injury last year because HE wanted to not because the club asked him to, he has stated this many times but i can tell you are uninformed so i guess thats why you said the old owner treated it like a piece of shit ??
I guess i must have missed that its Hodge and Ball's year to win a brownlow seing as though they are "breaking tackles and bursting through packs and kicking long bombs with ease" hahaha sure thing buddy. This is so irrelavant its not funny, comparing them with judd. Completely different players so im not going to even get into it. Oh and just so you know Judd never had OP, he had pubic overload which has a few important differences.
And lastly on Aker the measure is not "their ability to use what they have and adapt" of course judd has this ability, like most, in spades. But if he has lost a yard or 2 of pace WHICH HE OBVIOUSLY HAS then it remains a question as to whether or not it will return.
Well only really time will tell but I think Carlton has blown this trade.
He was going home so we were up the creek anyway we could only hope that a club stepped forward with players and or draft picks - enter Carlton.
But think about it - Judd is 24 and this year Carlton are not going to play in the grand final and whilst have great stock of young players probably wont play in a grand final for another 5 years or more by then Judd may well be at an end, especially in the midfield. Judd may not even poll that well in a Brownlow again as Carlton arent winning enough games.
Meanwhile, Kennedy has shown he is going to be a star for us if he keeps going the way he is going. Also from the Judd trade we got Masten who is showing great composure in the midfield for a first year player.
Had Carlton let Judd go and kept Kennedy, they would also probably got Masten or Palmer.
What I am saying is that Carlton would have been better placed in the 5 or more years time when they come to play in a grand final to have Kennedy and Masten/Palmer along with the rest of the young crop of players.
Time will tell.

Puuuuuuuuuubic Overload.

Sure West Coast had some great player, and you guys have been spoiled for years and years, but what goes up must come down. Expect some suffering you arrogant, spoiled, drug-addict home-ground advantage nobs. You guys have befouled the game with your drug-addict party 'rockstar' ways, and it's no wonder Judd wanted to leave. It's not his fault that Perth is the second most boring city in Australia, except for Adeliade. Get a life!
West Coast is still being spoilt - our club made $6m profit last year and on target to make $4m profit this year - miles in front of the next club, we are getting a brand new stadium and our young kids are showing real signs and guess who has the second youngest list. West Coast is the most successful AFL club and that's why we have won the most AFL Premierships and will continue to win more.
Plus
Second most boring city ... maybe suppose your opinion and your allowed to have it ... but hey we are all rolling in cash thanks to China buying our dirt and I am absolutely loving life so if that's boring well I will take that everyday of the week thank you.
The fact you are "loving life" in the most soul-less, culture-free city in the country says more about you than anything else. How embarrassing.![]()
Please tell me your not Tasmanian and calling Perth cultureless and soulless?
Not that it has anything to do with the constant success of the Eagles...

Life's like a box of chocolates, Forrest. Your only problem is, Perth's the Peppermint Cream.
Also? Ladder.

Im melbourne born, (and still live in melbourne) although i support the eagles, in EVERYTHING else im very much a Victorian, l can tell you that your statement isn't true. l wouldn't live anywhere else in Aus BUT what was said about WA isnt true, they are one of the strongest if not strongest economics in Aus, and l know of a lot of people from melbourne moving over there cause the $$$$ is crazy.
Perth of today is alot different then the perth of yday, its becoming quite a popular place to be.... Not sure the last time you went, but l can tell you WA its very much far from soul-less... They may not have as much culture as us, but they do have some very beautiful tourist attracts which really we are quite light on compared to other parts of AUS. That is melbourne's selling point 'the culture', i dont think any other place comes close... Perth is the beaches, Adelaide, churches, QLD, the theme parks, and beaches, Sydney, bridge, opera house, you get my drift.
All places in Aus have their selling point, so comparing one to another is like comparing Apples to oranges..BUT right now, WA is the place to be in regards to living the good life! there is a lot of money to be had, if u want it, and alot of ppl do, and have made the move, (on the same side, apparently cost of buying a house is expensive, where isnt these days!).... so fastly becoming a city, not a city by name but with country style living
In just in general question about Judd, l was told his injury is playing up (written in a melbourne paper apparently) is there any truth to that? or just another rumour??
what happened to Naru's economy once they ran out of resources...![]()
