Gee Vs. Carl round 9:

Chapman: 2 goals 0 behinds 1 goal assist 24 disposals, I50: 6
Judd: 1 goal 1 behind 1 goal assist 22 disposals, I50: 0

Judd was injured for half the game and he still almost beat him. Wouldn't be too happy with chappy :)

You got to be kidding me. Judd is a Rolls Royce all class while Chapman is merely a Hq Holden. He runs but nothing special.

Judd would lead the clearances by three votes.

I would still take Chapman for Hawthorn. Chapman can perform the Judd role, he just doesn't need to.

He is happy roaming around killing teams week after week whilst polishing his head waiting for the next victim.

What about those 2 little things around his neck?

Can't kick a goal like that when you're injured my friend, what was his injury btw?

Apparently he got injured when he tried to kick the ball out of the centre and kicked Duncan in the shins. Unless Duncan has shins of steel, which I'm pretty sure he does, there's no way the would've hurt him that much.

Mate it would've hurt. Foot stretched downwards beyond the norm would serious hurt the top of your foot.

Juddy did look slow after that (Well slower). He was clearly injured, probably got an injection when he went to the rooms.

Give me Judd easily...

unless in finals then chappy

judd probably has the worst norm smith performance in recent memory, butchering the ball over and over again. Chappy is unlucky not to have 2 norm smiths. When the game is on the line chappy stands up every time

I'm sensing a new nickname... Good ole' Steel shins

If I was starting a team from scratch and could pick anyone in the league Judd would be one of the first three I picked.

If I was having to trade Chapman out for Judd now in Geelong's lineup then I don't think I would. Judd is the better player but Chapman is more important to the Cats given our current side.

Agree Higs. There are some players that the Commentators fairly wet their pants at. Judd is one, Reiwoldt another. Usually they are doing very ordinary things, like taking their second mark of the game in the last 1/4 or the Judd goal last week.

As opposed to know nothing keyboard warriors who constantly attempt to belittle champion players because they play for an opposition team they despise .

Chapman is one of my favourite non Carlton players along with Bartel and Hill, but Judd in a heart beat. Even considering how classy and pivotal Chapman can be AND IS, I wouldn't even flinch in choosing Judd.

For those pulling stats from last week, they obviously missed the part where Judd was in pain every step and spent extended periods of time up forward (where he is admittedly weaker than Chapman).

Norm Smith, Countless B&Fs, Dual Brownlow Medallist, AAs coming out of his ears and will be remembered for many, MANY years to come.

Chapman won't have that, perhaps it's being with Bartel and Ablett but Judd will still out shine Murphy after he wins Charlie this year :p

Judd, no doubt. The only real attribute Chapman has over Judd is his kicking, and overhead marking ability. But that doesn't outweigh the things Judd excels at.

Has to be Judd, but there wouldn't be many others who could get ahead of Chappy in that kind of trade.

Judd. In saying that, I love Chapman though. Him and Bartel are my 2 favourite non-Carlton players.

I woulda thought both those guys u mention have earnt every bit of the respect they get.

There was a classic Judd moment yrs ago though when a commentaotor DID wet his pants. At the weagles Judd came off a flank and fired the worst pass at Lynch you could want..went two stories over his head...commentaor said "Lynch ran under the pass". Other than that i wouldnt begrudge a single bit of gusset glistening the true champions get.

When Judd takes the field he gets ridden hard, when Riewoldt takes the field he cops 2 or 3 on him. The better u are the more u need to wade thru. Goodes played about 150 straight games with a hard tag.

Judd by a fair margin. no..easily.
