Spoke to a close friend of his coach yesterday. Wrong crowd type situation from the sounds of it.

Dogs refused to offer more than 2 years hoping he'd be offered better and request to go while he's still got value. Other clubs followed the Dogs lead and didn't want to offer him anything long term so they agreed to sign him for the 2 hoping he'd come good.

Said he's as good as gone at the end of the year after the pre season he's had. Didn't allude to where that could be.

Hopefully for his sake he can sort his life out before he finds himself out of the AFL. Exceptional talent, don't want it to go to waste.

I'm curious, I wonder how much of a difference between the trajectories of Stengle and JUH? Stengle fluffed his lines at 2 clubs before turning it around. Sadly, I get the impression that without the structure of football and a football club, Stengle will follow a similar path post football.
