Spoke to a close friend of his coach yesterday. Wrong crowd type situation from the sounds of it.

Dogs refused to offer more than 2 years hoping he'd be offered better and request to go while he's still got value. Other clubs followed the Dogs lead and didn't want to offer him anything long term so they agreed to sign him for the 2 hoping he'd come good.

Said he's as good as gone at the end of the year after the pre season he's had. Didn't allude to where that could be.

Hopefully for his sake he can sort his life out before he finds himself out of the AFL. Exceptional talent, don't want it to go to waste.
Guess the Cats might get him back even after the AFL moved the goalposts so we couldnt get him originally.

Maybe down the highway is far enough from the wrong crowd for him.

Gonna be hard to get Rowell and JUH at the same time however.

If this is true, high quality intel. Kudos.

I guess the other (positive) take from this is that clubs are getting more on the front foot about proactively managing this sort of stuff. We've had the Sam Fischer and Melbourne situations, this speaks more to clubs not tolerating (as much) the impact it has.

Well I'm not sure exactly what he's been getting up to, but Bevo is a real hard ass in terms of setting your life up post footy and being a good person on and off the field.

I agree though that its good to see clubs being proactive with this stuff. One of the biggest mistakes North ever made was giving TT that monster contract. Guaranteeing a bucket load of cash to a kid starting to go off the rails is a recipe for disaster.

He's done nothing worthy of his pick status thus far in his career. All hype, no substance. Hope he fails!
Half agree... In patches he's shown what he's capable of. I agree he's been a bit overhyped though.

If he was just a regular KPF taken at pick 15 or something I think most would just be saying he's an exciting prospect with big upside. Curse of the Pick 1 I guess.

All the haters are out today having a good gossip.

Problem is if you don't offer it another club will. Obviously becomes their problem then, but if you've provided a good environment and established a good culture, then the kid leaves on big cash the situation can become worse.

Then it's not a problem. Don't continue to offer big cash to talented but undisciplined kids.

Do you have any insight Aristotle?
The last bit of "insight" he posted was that Sydney Stack was a better player than Sam Walsh.
So probably not.

Oh yeah, he also posted Australia were a big chance to lose the last test against Sri Lanka when Sri Lanka were 7 wickets down and 50 in front.

So again, I guess not.

Stack was a better player than Walsh. Keep up the Ugle-Hagan gossip, get some popcorn and enjoy it.

Walsh couldn't do 30% of this and this is only in 2019 when he was a 19yo.
Have a watch.

This is like saying Jack Martin is better than Patrick Cripps because he has a cool highlights reel :tearsofjoy:

Walsh crapped on Stack in just about every element of the game. He could also refrain from doing stupid s*** off the field, probably why one is still in the league and the other is god knows where.
