Agreed.how does the AFL allow this shit to occur?
Im all for protecting players but jesus christ, what about a bit of protection for the bulldogs.
they are getting absolutely shat on here.
The whole system is broken. Players and managers are just taking the piss.how does the AFL allow this shit to occur?

Pretty obvious that line is more about stopping so many questions everytime a player or coach is in front of a microphone. This was my favourite line - "The leave of absence allows the Dogs to train and focus on the season without the Ugle-Hagan distraction."
Do you reckon the players and coaches have been planning to have him there every session and that this will change everything?! Absolutely laughable
Yep. If the dogs sack him, his management won't include them in any future trade discussions and will white ant them to players/potential draftees and their families. And the AFLPA will do the same. The whole system is broken. Players and managers are just taking the piss.
Cubs can't sack a player for breach of contact without AFL approval.Agreed.
There seems to be only two options available to clubs in these instances: honour the players contract fully or sack them.
Surely the AFL, Clubs and PA can come up with a 3rd option that sits somewhere in the middle.
I hate Paul Conners and his management so much. Basically anyone we draft from them ****s off and pisses in our faces on the way out.Yep. I've said it for a while that clubs need more power as fans of the game & our clubs we should be demanding more power go back to the clubs, no player is bigger than the club.how does the AFL allow this shit to occur?

True, but if they had the option of putting players on reduced pay for a few months or including stricter behavourial stipulations into their contracts, they might have more ability to bring their players into line.Cubs can't sack a player for breach of contact without AFL approval.
It sucks.
This would be infinitely worse if he was a legitimate Pick 1. Imagine this happened to Adelaide with ThilthorpeI don’t feel bad for us to be honest.
That draft was a nightmare. Plenty of clubs drafted duds in the first round, if you look at it from that perspective it makes it a little easier to stomach.
I think we have to be honest here - he has been rocking up to training. Sometimes. The issue is he seems to pick and choose when he wants to turn up, and on the same day he's skipped training, he's been posting stupid photos on Instagram showing him partying with degenerates, or working out at his local gym instead of at the club8 rounds into the season and Guns-Cocaine hasn't rocked up to training yet.
Think we figured out already he's on leave lmao.
They haven't done anything that other clubs wouldn't have done.I am little unsure as how they manipulated the draft academy
