There seems to be only two options available to clubs in these instances: honour the players contract fully or sack them.

Surely the AFL, Clubs and PA can come up with a 3rd option that sits somewhere in the middle.

Hopefully this is a perfect example of why power needs to be wrestled back from players and managers.

It's become too lopsided where the clubs are being shortchanged in circumstances like this. A balance needs to be found.

I hate Paul Conners and his management so much. Basically anyone we draft from them ****s off and pisses in our faces on the way out.

"Management plan" may well be code for "list of things he has to check off or else the AFL has said they will terminate his contract". But it also might be code for "please just stop being a distraction we'll pay you just stop posting on social media for the love of god".

I've said it for a while that clubs need more power as fans of the game & our clubs we should be demanding more power go back to the clubs, no player is bigger than the club.

True, but if they had the option of putting players on reduced pay for a few months or including stricter behavourial stipulations into their contracts, they might have more ability to bring their players into line.

I think we have to be honest here - he has been rocking up to training. Sometimes. The issue is he seems to pick and choose when he wants to turn up, and on the same day he's skipped training, he's been posting stupid photos on Instagram showing him partying with degenerates, or working out at his local gym instead of at the club
