Damn, there's a joke right there... tempting, yet not wanting the wrath of god to come down on me...Imagine the giggles he hears from the girls in the footy team he coaches....relentless.

JUH just went up a few levels in my eyes.
This. There's so many layers that JUH is clearly unaware of.The funniest thing about it is that he thinks that's some type of gotcha against Riewoldt. When the bloke actually rocked up to training and got paid so he rightfully can judge the bloke on being an unprofessional ****wit.

He could join the team shower and still not be the biggestImagine the giggles he hears from the girls in the footy team he coaches....relentless.
Depending on how much he has left over, possibly for a while but I don’t think he would have most of it left.Could he go and live overseas in a cheap country.
Say Bali.
Then invest his cash and live off the interest.
At what point could the Dogs stop paying him?
A normal person could. Don't forget he's been infiltrated by bikies who also love Bali.Could he go and live overseas in a cheap country.

Kids gonna lose it all
Ken oathIf he’s hanging with bikies, he’ll lose more than it all. He’ll end up owing them.
Extremely underrated this. When he signed that deal it would have beem very easy to get sucked into that 9 year type deal and get it over and done with. Imagine if he had 7 years to go on his dealgood list management by the dogs only locking him in til end of 26.
Leave loading is normally for award wage employees who receive regular overtime and allowances. It's there to try and ensure that their pay stays around average when they are off on annual leave.im on annual leave and L/Looading is 17.5% of your hrly rate

AFL players do not get overtime - almost all of them are on an annual contracted amount, not hourly or weekly, so it's extremely unlikely that any would have leave loading in their contracts.

A normal person could pretty much set themselves up by 35 with that income. Not sure he'd be swimming in savings at the moment.
Probably $150k his first two years. $350-400k the last two.
Tax, manager/agent costs, being a dick head. You'd wonder how much he's sitting on?
The big money only kicked in this year, (might have been anticipating it) which coincides with him truly going off the rails.
Little chance a guy like this would have the discipline to invest and live off the proceeds.
I agree, I think it's because the players are a tradable asset are so are valuable to clubs, they need to tip toe around them so they don't lose too much value and if they sack them the value is gone.Honestly think the afl needs to just put a line in the sand and allow clubs provisions to sack players if they are acting like JUH in this scenario.
Obviously provide all the mental health services etc, but at the end of the day it's still a workplace and a business. Other leagues do it without any issues.
From what I was told no team was willing to offer him more than 2. Seems like clubs have learnt from some bad experiences in the past thankfully.Extremely underrated this. When he signed that deal it would have beem very easy to get sucked into that 9 year type deal and get it over and done with. Imagine if he had 7 years to go on his deal
Spoke to a close friend of his coach yesterday. Wrong crowd type situation from the sounds of it.
Dogs refused to offer more than 2 years hoping he'd be offered better and request to go while he's still got value. Other clubs followed the Dogs lead and didn't want to offer him anything long term so they agreed to sign him for the 2 hoping he'd come good.
Said he's as good as gone at the end of the year after the pre season he's had. Didn't allude to where that could be.
Hopefully for his sake he can sort his life out before he finds himself out of the AFL. Exceptional talent, don't want it to go to waste.
It's another demonstration of how immature and clueless he is. For all his status, he doesn't get that clapping back makes him look like a completely clueless flog. Rather than counter what Riewoldt is saying (for which he has no comeback because he knows deep down its true) he does an immature picture which has no relevance to the situation at hand. Riewoldt was an absolutely relentless professional driven to get the best out of himself and get team success. JUH is the exact opposite. I'm not a massive fan of Riewoldt the commentator, but he's bang on in this circumstance. JUH is clearly taking the piss and it sets a dangerous precedent. No issue with players clapping back at the media. Media personalities generally have no accountability for the consequences of their actions anyway.
This is another angle to the whole situation. The integrity of the sport. It's (increasingly) a not so slippery slope, particularly when you have multiple players on the same team hanging out with said types. If he’s hanging with bikies, he’ll lose more than it all. He’ll end up owing them.

the player agents do a lot more than just setup engagements and transfer them their money
almost all of them contribute money towards investments of some descript, infact I believe there is an AFLPA mandate to ensure a portion of funds are reserved for this
Your average finance bloke probably makes that a year.Even if he's saved half his post tax AFL salary in that time, it would be $300-350k.
It's not exactly FU money.
