Surely all 18 clubs band together to agree never to give this guy a contract. They will never win greater power for clubs whilst this is allowed to happen.

I couldn't agree more. Clubs want some power back, or at least in balance, the way Jamarra has acted is their perfect chance to make a stand.
Not sure it will happen though. There'll be a club willing to take the risk.

I think we are at an interesting juncture. Player contracts have already escalated in length and they will soon boom in terms of $ per year. How can you justify to your members frittering away ~$1.5-$2m a year for a decade on some muppet? Clubs like Collingwood have already been through a version of this (Treloar, Grundy).

Most clubs today are very risk averse brand wise. I mean if he was Wayne Carey or Johno Brown then you may spin the dice, but he is a decidedly average player, no 1 pick or not.

Yes, but Geelong have played in front of 240,000 people in the last 3 weeks - Bulldogs playing those same teams wouldn't have gotten close to that

Geelong were the home team in one of those games.
The last time we played Hawthorn at the MCG we had a larger crowd.

I bet Smith was jealous he didn't play last year and get to lose to Hawthorn in an EF, then travel to Mars yesterday. He looks utterly miserable at Geelong.

We've had Mooney and Hawkins spending most of their careers getting suspended for brain-dead acts, Scott trolling the media, a whole series of smart arses (SJ, Mackie), pricks (Scarlett, Chappy) and FIGJAMs (Dangerfield et al), and our players have had plenty of misdemeanours.
What new thing is big bad Baz gonna bring? He's going to sew disharmony and cause gentle unease? Sounds terrifying.
Human beings are flawed and sometimes even dislikable. We watch some of them kick a footy around once a week. Life goes on.

Right up until the minute he requested a trade - when you guys were still hoping he'd stay - your board was claiming Bailey was just a bit of a loveable rogue. He did some silly FIGJAM-y things but fundamentally a good bloke, he's just a bit of a different cat who lives life his own way.
Only after he wanted out did he magically turn into a horrible toxic culture-killer and selfish knobhead who nobody ever liked anyway.

Surely JUH not playing and having a fair time socialising is a breach of contract? Young bloke needs to take stock of the situation and either front up and train or sever his contract and request a trade.
