I can't remember who it was, but I'm sure there was a story about Dusty hitting the town with a potential trade/draft option the Tigers were looking at but he reported back "this bloke is too loose" so they stopped pursuing him.

If he’s to get another chance, it’ll be along the lines that he has to re-contract to get his $900k base over 3 years and make up the difference with match payments. Well no, but the AFL's baby got a former no 1 pick for steak knives and on a tiny wage . One who couldn't turn up for work 6 months ago & is now heading their promos on TV.

None of this was planned, of course . But if you were the AFL/Suns and you did plan it, it would be a pretty good plan.
