Jumper clash fails

Let's go all the way to China and wear the same kits.

Absolute tinpot league with this stuff.

Horrendous when there is no need for it .
The AFL is showing it's incompetence on so many levels every week .
Gil McLachlan is an absolute joke of a CEO , a completely clueless muppet .

Love how we sook over traditional jumpers...

Then Sydney wears the traditional red white and black Swan against the Pies in Indigenous round.

Just have three jumpers (and shorts) all with predominant block colours.

NBA and Premier League don't botch this stuff !

Staggered when I turned on the TV to see how similarly they looked.

Even more so to have Gilligan come on and tell us watchable the game is these days...

They certainly don't recruit in the AFL Administration on intellect or talent...

What's the point in having a clash jumper carlton?

The Essendon Carlton rivalry is far too important to have some crazy clash jumper involved. Imagine how embarrassed Carlton would be if they had to be seen wearing white against a rival!
Tradition over rides logic.

It’s moronic stuff.

And yes, we should be wearing red in all away games against Carlton and Collingwood.

The best part? Port added the China/Australia flags to their indigenous, meaning they had made two sets of guernseys for indigenous round and instead of making a normal dark version and then a clash-friendly version (for China game which they KNEW who they'd be playing since November), they just slapped the flags on and called it a day.

What’s with Geelong this year wearing dark shorts often. Which is their prerogative if it’s their home game, but because they have a light coloured jumper it makes things a mess. The Geelong games have been messy to watch. I wonder if Steve Hocking, the man that was going to fix all the on field problems in the AFL has wrecked everything he’s touched this year.
-jumpers
-umpireing
-goal review
-MRP
-hands in the back
we can just go really.

A lot of great nominations and the winner of the biggest Jumper clash fails;

When the clash jumper causes more of a clash !!

Special mention to Eddie McGuire for causing clashes when he changed the traditional Magpie jumper;

Quick random throwback I saw on YouTube... 1978 VFA D2 GF, Frankston v Camberwell. Absolute madness! 😂

Plenty of fights, it just looks like teammates throwing punches at each other.

I just watched the first few minutes of the highlights, and looks like players just trying to line each other up for cheapshots, while the player with the ball is trying to dodge them.

And some people want football to return to these days?

It's a club's prerogative. The on-field appearance forms it's visual identity. It's just as important as the moniker, style of play, and outcome of games in forming an overall identity. Yes, it was largely defensive to prevent Port to have more of an argument to adopt prison bars, but at least they made the change, and have stuck with it. It's been 18 years now, more than enough time for other clubs to adjust in away games. it's not really hard.

Why would they not just design two jumpers for the specific occasion in contrasting colours that would appeal to the local market? You know, the Power with a dragon on it in black, breathing teal coloured fire and and a StKilda jumper with a tank running over a protester and the road awash with red?
