I just wish the AFL would get rid of the white jumpers if a club doesn't have that as a club colour
In some cases, such as Melbourne who uses a really dark red, it's necessary.

Get rid of the monogram, remove all the chevrons but the 2nd one from the top, change the collar to navy, add a white outline to the numbers and change the shorts to red, Melbourne then won't need a white jumper at all.
Their red isn't as dark. Though if the names were lighter it would certainly help!

No it isn't the chevron is higher, the collar and cuffs are navy and there is a white outline around the navy numbers.

AFL would never allow it though... hell, we can't even get a red based guernsey for our clash kit.
As a supporter, the perfect Melbourne clash guernsey (that is a realistic option) is one of the following:
- all red with monogram
- inverted home
It still stumps me why Essendon can have a red guernsey, but we can't. You can't have one rule for some, and a different rule for others. Reeks of amateur organisation.

Call it a heritage guernsey, slap some players names on it and make it honour a club great and they'll allow it.
