And they're gone. Newbies gone.

Just names added to rookie players remain as black silhouettes.

And Still no Adam Oxley.

The Ox must indeed be patient

Must be arriving soon....

Nathan Murphy is 28, Tyler Brown 34, Stevenson 35 and Cox staying on 46.

Confirmed at training yesterday
And that looks right too.

Once confirmed we'll have these numbers:

Murray 9
Murphy 28
Brown T 34
Stephenson 35

And then we just need the rookie numbers assuming Oxley will keep 43.

And we're done.

ps I'm glad 31 didn't go to one of the above, it's a odd looking number, nice for a rookie like Appelby.

I like Murphy in 28.

I like Brown in 34.

Looks good.

Stephenson, poor thing has to think about his "permanent" number for another year.

Still 35 is an ok number. Worn by some guy names Daicos, went ok by some reports.*

* yet it's the Prestigiacomo thing that is lauded, hello, only the fanatics remember the stoic Simon, but everyone remembers the mercurial Daicos.

Presti’s remembered for his monumental sacrifice to the club. Played a bit too.

To me as mercurial as Daicos was in 35, I’m glad it’s Presti’s legacy that is maintained.

Thats fair, we all have our own perspectives and there's plenty of merit in commemorating Presti's actions.

I have zero evidence to back this up so I may be talking out of my bum, but I'd hazard a guess that if you took a poll you'd get a hell of a lot of supporters not all that keen on the great Peter Daicos's number being used year in, year out to commemorate Simon Presitigiacomo being honest about an injury.

The idea isn't inherently bad and I always liked Presti and have huge respect for what he did in not playing in the GF. But in weighing up the legacy of the legend of the game itself that is Peter Daicos vs dour but effective full back Simon Presitigiacomo, Presti is and will continue to become less and less relevant, while the legend of Daicos continues to grow (as it should).

Really like McLarty getting 23. Doesn't seem like the type to roid it up/get stuck into a bit of marching powder in the off season (depending on who you believe).

You have really nailed this.

You have put it well, I'd suggest.

We really like Presti, fine servant, was selfless.

But!

Regardless of any attempt to sway thoughts, the 35 is fully about Peter Daicos.
It just is.
The weight of his genius.... presti is a droplet, a foot note.

The club tried something. It just doesn't quite work. Fair enough they tried, but it's done.
It Just all seems contrived. Hence has never really worked.

Really like McLarty getting 23.
McLarty in 23 looks right.

Everything you hear, he is a super kid, great attitude.
And he is soooo tall too!
