Lindsay’s got nothing to do with losing Banfield and Evans, the “botched trade” was giving up the Saints future second to trade up with the Hawks.

What could have been the result if we hadn't traded the saints F2 pick to the hawks. ?

I haven't paid attention to the fallout of the draft because I don't really care about 'almost trades' but I'm just assuming that the Bulldogs wanted to swap picks with the Hawks to take Lindsay but they knew West Coast were keen so they said give us a second rounder and the pick's yours.

Maybe that's been dispelled in the week since the draft but that's what I'm assuming might've happened.
