Jumper swapping is a thing of the past.

hopefully it will not happen again.
No chance. As someone previously mentioned, the sponsors who advertise on the jumpers would be pissed off. Also the jumpers worn in a grand final will usually end up being auctioned off for club fundraisers or charity events; they're all accounted for and can't be given away to opposition players.

As for grand finals I can't remember anyone doing it after Daryl Baldock swapped with Des Tuddenham in 1966.
Probably that image we are familiar with is the reason they stopped?
If your going to hold the cup you should do it in your own jumper but can you imagine the jumper sponsors (probably rightly) going feral if this practice was still happening.

It was a good tradition of sportsmanship. I believe it gradually changed, especially in the '80s, probably to appease sponsors whose logos became prominent on jumpers.
