I for one would be rapt if he came back. To me he has the x factor. He needs to be harnassed and given a minder, perhaps Flash. If we could get him and Garlett, we'd have that small forward we need and in Jurrah well I'd try to build his tank and use him as a roving forward or let him mix it across the centre. We need to take a risk and not be so conservative. We have been conservative 4 the last 50 yrs, time to embrace change.I can't see it working out. He had a good year when he was the focal point in the forward line and everyone else had to work around him, but that's not going to happen with Clark, Hogan, Daves and Howe down there. He was never a structure player and at times we accommodated him a little too much.
No guarantee he'd come back and stick it out, no guarantee he'd play near the level he was at when he was in his prime. We don't need another med/tall forward in the mix, especially one who is going to struggle to adapt to a forward line that doesn't revolve around him.
But I get where you guys are coming from.

In a lot of ways, Jurrah summed up all that was wrong with the Bailey tenure, lots of hoping, improvising and general reliance on the 'x-factor' getting us over the line. Very little structure or disciplined set plays.
Even a bit of this no-structure x-factor would have been good this season.
Probably wouldn't be the correct move though, in terms of culture and the obvious risk involved. Wouldn't paint a pretty picture if he were to return, only to fall back into trouble. Not a good look for the club imo.
But to answer your question? There was an incredible amount of joy in anytime Liam Jurrah would take the field. You never knew what you were going to get, but there was always a sense that something special was about to occur. And that was Liam. That was the 'X-Factor', as most others have referred to him as being. One hell of an excitement machine. But is he worth the risk, and does he deserve the second chance? Hard to say.
