Does anyone else feel that the "Fev incident" has hindered our chances of getting Michael Voss on board as an assistant coach in 2007?
I mean Vossy obviously will go to a club that he sees are being a professional club and a club that is going places.
Will Fevola's indiscretion have him looking elsewhere of Princes Park??

Vossy won't be an assistant in 2007 anywhere. Will stay in Brisbane, tie up loose ends, do some media work and then seek a position for 2008. Maybe the fact he is retired but still on the Lions payroll for next year kind of clouds the issue for him.

Oh okay sorry I was unaware of that.
Well do you feel that we will miss out on him when he is making his decision because of this latest incident?

Vossy is a smart man and he will go where he feels he can help the club out the most, whilst getting the best 'grounding' to become a senior coach in a few years time.

I don't think Voss would base a decision regarding his future on something that Fev did whilst under the influence. Everybody does things they aren't too proud of when they are drunk.

Exactly :thumbsu:

That's a good point, HBF. And Carlton would be as good a club as any to get that grounding given the success of Judge, Worsfold & Lyon in getting senior coaching gigs after their time at Carlton.

This is exactly why Vossy cannot coach or be associated with any AFL club in 2007. Was part of the 'deal' to allow him to retire, payout last year of contract etc.
Heard he may do some work with the AIS in 2007.

He would have been great as an assistant however with Rats and Braddles being involved now our coaching staff look real good.
