I didn't say the Crows were crap. I said that you weren't the greatest team ever. Both the 97 and 98 teams were "run of the mill" premierships teams.
Anyway, Essendons performance since '93 is : 1, 10, 5, 4, 14, 8, 3, 1, 2
Adelaide's is 3, 11, 12, 12, 1, 1, 13, 11, 8
Like I said, it's is NOT about winning the premiership every single year. No club, no matter how hard they try can win it every single year. it's impossible. It's about giving yourself an oppotunity to win it, by winning hepas of games, and finishing high on the ladder. Essendon has doen this for the last three seasons.
3rd, 1st and 2nd is NOT underachieving. Underachieving is when Essendon finished 8th in 1998. Underachieving is when Adelaide finished 11th, 12th and 12th in 1994-95-96.
Winning 62 out of 74 games since the start of 1999 is NOT underachieving. Winning 6 out of 8 finals matches (75%) since the start of '99 is not underachieving. The very fact that we have been up there contending for the flag in each of the last three seasons is an achievement in itself.
