Of the 91 VFL/AFL players listed on Wikipedia to have come from East Fremantle, they weren't all problem characters. I reckon 8 of those can be classed as dodgy to very dodgy, and 6 of the 8 played for the Eagles.

I don't recall anyone saying Simon black had an attitude problem, for example.

I just looked at the list with my blue and whites glasses on, and could not get anywhere near 8. That's including a couple small problems Mick Jez had in the 70's.

Of the two who didn't play for West Coast, one had an association with a drug importer, and the other had mental issues which affected his game.
I reckon the six Eagles players are self evident. Unfortunately Fletcher was a Subiaco boy.

Ok, sorry missed the most obvious one. Not sure you can count medical conditions as dodgy. But having gone back over the list I must have misses something with the drug importer?
Mind you a few from the 70's were dodgy by today's standards.

There were actually two with mental issues, which are often related to drug issues. (Self medication and all that). I reckon one of them would count.
The drug importer was known as a nutritionist at the time.
I don't know about the 70s. Post 73 till about 84 is a time in footy I didn't enjoy much.

Remember it now ( google helped ). Again with blue and white glasses on I did not believe it the time. Just on a serious point if you are talking depression as being a bit dodgy, I think you are being a touch harsh. I know drug use can causes depression but so can a lot of other issues.

I also did not believe it at the time. Recent revelations re Shane Charter have changed my mind on his legitimacy.

I do agree with you re the depression issue, to a degree. But Troy Buswell was an asshat before he discovered he had an excuse for his behaviour. That was a clear case of using a mental disorder as an excuse. If that's an excuse, any behaviour is excusable.
And I was actually trying to disprove the notion that it was the Eagles that were the problem, not Old Easts.

All good, I was interested who you thought the players were.
I'm a bit touchy on depression as I lived with someone who suffered for 25 years and in the end it ended our marriage last year. But this is the only subject that I will ever get serious about.
Bigfooty for me is only for fun and finding out things about the mighty dockers. ( oK - also for shitting on the egirls ).

Any illness can be mis- or over diagnosed. There seems to be a new one every decade. And then the correction happens.

The only two points I will make are, any illness can under diagnosed as well and I truly believe commenting on other peoples problems without facts is not right.
However just prove I'm a total hypocrite also believe Troy the Boy is full of shit.

My old bag is on her last legs too but I might hang on to her a bit longer. She has to put up with me, does at least half the cooking and let's me go to the footy each fortnight. ;)

I wouldn't have thought so. But tell your wife that I find it worthwhile keeping a roll of this stuff around.
It's a bit soft in the centre mind you but otherwise does its job quite well.
