Competitive cricket is great for sitting on the couch whilst having a beer. Weeding is a shit job!If you guys win the 2nd Test easily it’ll be a disaster for the series more generally. That series where you steamrollered us was just no fun, we want to see competitive cricket.

Any truth to the ruour that the crime show Hawaii Five O has been banned in the UK, because it reminds cricket fans of recent Ashes series in Australia?Competitive cricket is great for sitting on the couch whilst having a beer. Weeding is a sh*t job!

Agreed there best days are behind them but the pink ball under lights? I like wood and Robinson they are both good bowlers.Plenty of English fans lamenting the absence of Anderson (average 35 here) and Broad (37 here). I admire Jimmy but at his age and with his record here there is little to be concerned about. Broad's bowling here is poor.
Jimmy might be the worst tailender in Test cricket but he always has a go and puts his body on the line
In contrast, Broad's tactic of taking of block behind our short leg fielder has inspired derision here and embarrassment to his team. Decent bowler when pitches are dialled in to order but otherwise does not try. Really here to see the sights and little else.
Are you saying he couldn't get a Root in a brothel? To make matters worse for England, they've been fined 100% of their match fee, and been docked 5 World Championship points for their slow over rate on day 2. Poor Joe Root - right now, if he were to win X Lotto, he'd lose the winning ticket.
I think the whole team is Rooted. Are you saying he couldn't get a Root in a brothel?
I think the whole team is Rooted.
Really looking forward to day 5 - oh wait......
IMO he should never have been allowed to play for Australia again after what he done to our proud Australian reputation.
Cry all you like you sniveling piece of **** but you should've retired after sandpaper gate.
It will be talked about for 5 weeks, but no Broad and Anderson hurt a lot. Wood and Richardson were good, but one has to make way with Woakes for the Adelaide test. Stiff to miss out, but I'd leave Richardson in and rest Woods.
I think you mean Robinson, not Richardson - Richardson plays for us.......Couldn't agree more. If we make politicians stand down over a scandal, or harp on Kanye West for the one time he interrupted Taylor, why are our sportsmen/women different? *Note: Coming from an Englishman, but would have said the same if it was England doing the deed.
No chance I'm reading all 4 pages either, but The Greatest Ava how did you see the first test now its all said and done?
- I thought the Aussie bowling attack were fantastic, even when Malan and Root put on their stand they never looked overly comfortable
- Aussie's batting deep is again going to be what wins them this Ashes. India are the only other team for mind right now, that I can see with players at 6-7-8 that can make a century. Brilliant innings by Head
- Thoughts on Green and Harris? Neither were overly convincing. Looks like there are other all-rounders that can do Green's job in the B-side.

- England's batting...well it just wasn't there was it? Blame the conditions, the quality bowling, or something else entirely. I think the mould of 'being aggresively or assertively optimistic' defined by the Aussies needs to be taken on more by other test sides. Thats how Starc gets 27, and Head gets to 50 and how a 150-run 1st innings deficit becomes 278.
With respect, Broad should not have got a tour - averages 37 with the ball here, is notorious for being surly when conditions do not suit and his runaway batting is a joke.
Defeat Warner = go a long way towards winning the ashes. His poor average aside, I’d be playing him for The mental game.
He has a history of giving us momentum here. Warner is the least of England's concerns. Had three lives in his knock the other day.
So much to like about the Aussies pace attack and I guess Lyon played his role as well.Couldn't agree more. Magnificent...and the best part is McGowans nose being cut off ‘despite’ his face. What a w***er.So happy for Hobart for getting their first Ashes Test. It should be a fabulous occasion.
Yeah I don't understand how Perth can host the AFL grand final, but suddenly it's too risky to host a Test match. He's a strange cat......Magnificent...and the best part is McGowans nose being cut off ‘despite’ his face. What a w***er.

At one point, fans of both Perth teams were preparing to go to a derby, when suddenly (on the morning of the game I think) McGowan decided on a whim to ban fans from attending.Let’s not forget they cost themselves the chance at the 2020 covid AFL Grand Final too with similar antics.
