In Brereton's Herald Sun article RE the cats fortunes this year entitled "Catalysts: Gary Ablett and Wojcinski" he finishes his patronising (given he hates Geelong with a passion) dissertation with the line...
"Just watch for icebergs"...my version of this reads "just watch for 'ice'bergs"...
We all know Dermott was a great footy player and what made him great was his ego...I guess he just couldnt watch the success of his side happily without firing a broadside at a club he really truly does despise.
I guess I could have posted this article in Bay 13...or the AFL board but then again it would get removed just as quickly as a couple of my other posts did yesterday.
So here's to freedom of speech and saying what you know without really implicating the actual people involved.
Fortunately I dont have to even make my own assumptions/allegations or anything of the sort...Dermott the literary 'kid' a la James Joyce has done it all for me. I would suggest to Derm before he talks about the Titanic though he might read another boat story called Ulysses before imagining his footy skills are anything like his literary ones.
