His knee has little to no cartlidge left in it. It's a real shame because he was never really utilised properly in his time at the Dockers, and never got the chance to become then elite CHF that people like Stephen Kernahan thought he would be.

Poor bloke will live in constant pain for the rest of his life, atleast Lance has years before it gets to that.

Damn, that's a shame. I really liked this bloke and he should have been more than what he was, bloody Freo wasting people's talent. I was hoping he would recover and have a great year next year to justify my pick in the phantasy draft, but oh well, such is life.

Could have been a HUGE stuff up by the club when we offered him a 5 year deal in 2003....thank God he stayed.

I knew that Carlton were keen on him back then, but to offer him a 5 year deal - wholy crap. Thank goodness that deal never got over the line.

Says the Carlton fan!

Something like 3 spoons in 5 years isn't it? And only just beaten for it this year too.

You should be the last person to talk about wasting talent

Unfortunately we haven't had a lot of talent at our disposal during the last 6 years. When we have had talent we converted that into premierships. 16 times in fact. Didn't Fremantle make a prelim final just over a year ago? Did they convert that into a premiership this season? No, they went backwards. Wouldn't you think a list that includes Bell, Black, the Carrs, Farmer, Haselby, Headland, McPharlin, Pavlich, Sandilands, Tarrant should be pushing for premierships? Now that is a waste of talent

That occurred to me when I heard Longmuir had retired.

The past six years were all Pagan's fault, not the muppets who were running the club and offering players like Longmuir a five year contract. ;)

Koschitzke and Knobel were two other rucks we were chasing.

Did Kouta attack the players best friend in Steve Kernahan who was running the football department whilst sitting on the board?

And handing out big contracts to hacks like Ackland and Mclaren.

I didn't think so....

They made the finals twice including a top four finish in 2006. Not the greatest call ever made.

Not wanting to enter anyone elses debate but i think the football world would agree that Carlton had minimal talent in that period, and were not able to recruit that talent until te 2005 Drafts.

You cant waste what you dont have.
