Geez i think Carlton will regret letting him go to Geelong. He has been sensational for us so far. By the way does he have an anger problem. A port player tripped him up in the ansett cup and Murph responded by giving him a knuckle sandwich and in turn lost the free kick awarded to him.

Yeah, Murph is a good player and I think we owed him a bit more loyalty after breaking his leg in the 1999 GF. But...at whose expense? We had salary cap problems and something had to give. I wish Justin the best and will secretly cheer him on when he is playing (except against the Blues of course). Murph was an innocent victim of modern football.

btw, I don't think you need an excuse to smack a Port player do you?

Turlough, Murphy is a very good player and most at Carlton are sad to see him go. Unfortunately he and the new coach never really got on with Brittain believing that he didn't train hard enough.

Most league player are encouraged to be aggressive and Murphy has been known to react in the past. Sometimes foolishly but he's not on his pat malone there.

I reckon he'll be a good acqusition for Geelong. He cut us to pieces in the Ansett Cup a couple weeks back.

where's wally?

Murphy was great in 99 for Carlton but didn't do anything in 2000, they played in round 20 or 21- i don't remember exactly- but he didn't do anything for us so he didn't come back, sure it's a loss but hey...what can you do?
