Last 3 weeks I have come to really appreciate the Hoff. Has obviously been down on form and not as productive as he would like to be, but has been trying and has kicked goals at important moments for the side. Have some faith, westy will pull through. After a few statistically quiet games, he is due.

I think his workrate off the ball has really improved recently.

He may not be getting it quite as much as he'd like (that will hopefully come) but his forward pressure and chasing/tackling has been great. For example, last week he had 6 tackles, 4 1%ers, and 5 contested possessions for a 1.1 goal return... with limited ruck-work due to the presence of the Renouf/Redden combo. If he can jag another one or two goals a game at 20 disposals - that would be a very good outcome every week - with the occassional bigger game on top of that.

Would like to know the breakdown of where he's played per game this year - deep forward, high forward, wing rotation, spare man in defence (on occasion during desperate times it seems!).

Well done on the 100 games Hoff. Your lackadaisical appearance on the field is a well executed illusion that keeps you flying under opposition teams radars. Keep up the ripper work and may you play your next 100 like every one is a showdown.

That says it all Macca. Like Motlop you get the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Hoff not just over a game, but in a quarter.

It's a great effort for a piece of string to get to 100 games. One day we should feed him some steroids and who knows what he can achieve.

We have won for Bobby's 100th, Boak's 100th so its time to properly celebrate the Hoff's 100th.

Up until a couple of years ago we had a great record celebrating milestone games with wins. I did a thread on it. Will see if I can find it but its a bit tough when there is no search function available yet.

i cant believe westhoff has his name on the locker for ever. i hope i dont have to watch him for another 100 games. its a simple in for next week butcher for westhoff, but so was a simple replacement for thomas in logan.

His best is great, but you can't see him being in our next premiership team given how easily he is taken completely out of the game.

Was incredibly frustrated by Westhoff last night.

His 100th was symbolic of his career, really.

Drop him and bring in Butcher.
