Was going to put Brandon, but thought he only featured in two good roles. Three now that I think about it. Rapid Fire, The Crow, where he was ******* awesome, and of course Showdown which Dolph starred in.

Swayze was unreal in Ghost and Point Break. I should have put him. Come to think of it in Point Break, I reckon that acting is as good as anyone portrayed in any movie. Awesome. Intensity, Calmness, Wisdom, Insanity all in one. Purely phenomenal.
Come on now..... Your missing the GOAT..

I don't get the Arnie votes. He was just a meathead who lifted a few weights, which required little skill. And couldn't act.

Guys like JC, Norris and Seagal on the other hand. They weren't great actors either, but at least they were very skilful masters of their craft.
Lifting weights like Arnie did required extreme discipline and dedication, steroids or not. Diet, constant training etc.

Seagal was full of s**t. He looked good on camera only. Rockly Balboa took 3000 punches per fight and wasn't a real boxer, but in the movies like they all were, was an invincible god like creature.

Arnie just a meathead versus Norris and Seagal? One a bible bashing birther, the other a fat bloated piece of s**t who constantly lies about his background?

Arnie was a great manager behind the scenes with his films, making sure the filmmakers got what was needed versus the producers to create a decent product. He knew where his strengths were. He was also a millionaire through real estate before he even took up acting. He's not a great actor yeah and freely admits that himself but his charisma on screen far exceeds most other action stars.

Sure. Again though, none of that requires much skill.
I'd argue that JCVD also did weights (won the Mr. Belgium bodybuilding title), was disciplined, diligent, etc. But he also developed expert level skills in martial arts; joined the Belgian national karate team at age 12, earned his black belt at the young age of 18. That to me puts him ahead of Arnie.

For me his so called "charisma" feels forced and awkward. Doesn't seem natural at all.

I hear yah, i get the same feeling from pr0n actresses, so much so I almost turn it off.

He started making an action name for himself after Point Break and Speed, then he went back to his arsty s**t and Johnny Nemonic was just crap.
But then - The Matrix.

Swayze was also good in a low budget sci-fi called Steel Dawn which also starred his wife and who can forget the original Red Dawn, one of my faves back then.
For someone who is not actually a very good actor, Keanu has been in some iconic films across multiple genres: action (Speed, Point Break), sci-fi (Matrix) and comedy (Bill & Ted’s).

It was always Annie and Sly, Van Damme a tier below and everyone else even further below. Willis was as big as the top two but was probably never considered an action hero, more a star that could do action.

Arnie by a mile for me.
If you wanna open a real can of worms, get talking about who'd win a real fight out of the martial arts-trained movie guys. :D
Seriously?

Bruce Lee. Duh. ‍♂️

What about Roadhouse? I just watched it again last week.

With magazines that never ran dry and accuracy that their enemies could only ever dream of.

Kurt Russell strong as has already been mentioned by fpcookie, if The Deadly Tower and 3000 Miles to Graceland fell within the window, I'd nearly have him on top.

Some quality from both Stallone and Arnie but on the back of Conan The Barbarian, The Terminator, Commando, Predator, The Running Man, Total Recall, Terminator 2 : Judgement Day and True Lies, I've got to give it to Arnie, his top end is just better, imho.

Willis and Russel with some high top end movies, Seagal with one of the best top end movies in the first Under Siege but nothing else really in that class.

JCVD and Norris clearly a step below. Lundgren not fit to tie most of their boots, he's never really carried a movie, always a supporting role.

Snipes had a number of movies in the window but for me Blade is the stand out with maybe New Jack City, most of the rest not much. Maybe Passenger 57 because Elizabeth Hurley is a stunner.

It looks like what he thinks are quality vs not.

But hes got Executive Decision bolded for Russell but not Seagal so I dont know...
I'd hope not. He has Timecop and Legionnaire for JCVD, but not Kickboxer or Lionheart or Hard Target. Makes no sense.
