He has been at the club for 4 years now. Must stand up this year. Shower fantastic pace on the left wing late last year, and looks to have a crfty left foot.

Im looking forward to seeing him in Navy Blue instead of Red and White. Along with Bentick, Carraz, Murph, Walker, Backwell and other, we look like we have a developing midfield of stars.

Simpson, stand up and show the footy world why i have the number 6 on my back.:thumbsu:

Kade was always going to take longer than most to make it at AFL level due to his small stature. We knew this when we recruited him so while year 4 for most non KP players is a make or break year Kade should be given a bit more time. A good solid consistent year with 22 games in the seniors is all I ask of him.

The guy is already a dead set champ in my book. (Not that that means squat). He takes on the opposition and wins. Will stand up this year.

Yes he does have to step up, but I think he did last season.

If he plays like he did at the end of last year, that will be very satisfying.

Agree. Seeing some of the young guys play towards the end of last season (Simpson, Bentick, Fisher (though not so young anymore)), almost made me forget the previous beltings and made me enthused for season 06.

Fisher and Simpson are the same age at 21 years old.

I agree he was always going to take a while due to his size. A player of his size might get away with playing more football earlier in his career if he was mostly an outside receiver/finisher. But he isn't..

Watch him closely, he goes in hard at every contest and will go in and get his own ball. If he has to go up and get it, he will. If he has to put his head down and get it, he will. He is a natural footballer.

Thought he actually stood up in the second half on '05. Has very good pace and what I like is that he backs himself agiainst most opponents.

Judging by his form so far in the preseason, he looks set for another good year.

He's the type of player supporters love to watch and certainly I am one of those, pity we don't have any more of these types. Loves to carry the ball, take on players and got a good left foot, also kicks goals here and there, I loved watching him play in the latter half of last season and I hope he continues where he left off, will be a delight.

Certainly looked a good player for the Blues in the second half of the season.
Would he be a chance to play on Davey round 1 or is he a completely attacking player?

McGrath or Carrazzo will get Davey and Carrazzo might have as good a record as anyone who has played on Davey. Simpson has to be played up the ground because we lack midfielders who are good kicks of the Sherrin and have the ability to accelerate away from the opposition.

Carrazzo will play on Davey given his good history of playing on the guy. Kade far more valuable as a free wheeling goal scoring winger to be forced to tag an opponent.

Simpson's not a bad tackler actually. -Especially when you consider his size. He won't play on Davey though. Not unless Davey plays on a wing.

Simspson loves to go for a run. He also has good pace and a deadly left boot to support him. With that in mind, he's best suited to a wing or half forward flank. Besides, I don't think it's wise to move around young players so soon after becoming settled.
