agreed. i'd say he has him covered all over. week in week out he is making mistakes, fumbling the ball. i think to myself maybe he'll come good one day but i cant see that happening.

he's gotta go. i dont care if he's the captain. get him out. jackson is starting to show that he can do a good tagging job.

Once upon a time he was a great footballer, sadly for the Richmond football club he is a shadow of his formerself, his skills are equiverlant to Vandenburges but the main difference as a captain is that he has no presence or any onfield leadership what so ever,, he is clearly lacking in every department in terms of being captain material.

jonnson is not that flash for a man with his experience, but he does manage to get in the right positions and get hands on the ball more than some of the younger players.

Whats the use of getting in the right positions just to kick the ball 15mtrs to a player from the other side. Younger players are learning the game. Kane Johnson is meant to be an experienced good player that is meant to show the way and lead by example. Which he is clearly not doing.

His ability as captain is hard to judge when you are not in the inner santum. But he must set the standard on the field.
It would be hard for Terry to critises the teams disposal when the worst cuplrit is the Captain.

Thats why Johnson should step down as captain. For the good of the club. He could use the " I want to concentrate on my on game" reason.
 
How old is Sugar anyway? Whatever the opinion may be on his captaincy this is besides the point. Despite being a captain and an onfield leader his performances have been sub-par. The turnovers, free kicks against and decision making all year has been sour.

I would never want to see him playing for Coburg but I'm starting to doubt whether he's genuinely in our best 22 anymore. I agree his success with Adelaide and general winning belief he gained there would have made him the ideal captain and the prime choice at the time and I was a supporter of his captaincy but despite his leadership abilities he is struggling onfield and often looks as though the game has caught up to him.

I agree with that dipper his skills were a lot better 4 or 5 years ago.
