Re: Sugar's Bladder

we cannot sack him, it was his 30'th birthday and we had a win. I nearly pissed my pants when we won i was that excited and he's our captain who helped us get what we wanted.
Any bloke after a good weekend and a few drinks has had a wee in public, and whoever says they haven't is talking crap!!

Re: Sugar's Bladder

Its 'so called" Richmond fans like you who make me want to puke.

Example - Richmond Players meeting Monday afternoon. After Leadership group headed by the main offender, who has sacked himself for a match and a 5k fine, wants to hear some supporter feedback -

Feedback No 1 - PooPooMcPhee, member 102620, Big Football Richmond supporters board -

"This is the break the Tigers have been waiting for. Finally we can drop him"

Response by player leadership group member-

"Who the f%$#^ does this clown think he is? Some ****** sitting behind a computter trying to tell us to sack a valued and integral part of the OUR team. FFS dont even bother giving that Drop Kick the satisfaction of a thought, little own a response.... Move on... Next question"

Finally we can replace him in the middle with better quality players. This is a good thing :thumbsu:

The players must be so blind drunk to be caught urinating, its not that hard at 4am to find a dark spot where nobody can see you but they are doing it in places where they are getting caught, the boys are partying wayyy to hard

Re: Sugar's Bladder

Just when I thought footballers couldn't get any more stupid...

Although just why I ever thought that, I have no idea. Must have some rose coloured image of highly paid AFL footballers as professional athletes, obsessed with caring for their bodies, preparing for their next event with near religious intensity, eating only the things to allow them to perform their best, hydrating appropriately, resting regularly to maintain peak performance, experienced leaders setting an example for the new younger players to follow on how to prepare for the next contest...

Or maybe last Thursday was the Grand Final, and the season is over...

I can't wait for the sycophantic garbage to be produced tomorrow, with all the pissy explanations and excuses...

Re: Sugar's Bladder

Meh 1 week self imposed suspension and a $5k fine. To me not good enough. FFS he is the Captain of the club and should be better than that, should have been at least a 2 week suspension and $10k or resigning from the Captaincy for being that stupid a week after an opposition player was caught doing something similar. IIRC Hall copped 3 weeks last season for fighting while in rehab and was not a leader of the club.

Re: Sugar's Bladder

Make him resign and give the captaincy to Richo! Might make him be more accurate :P

Re: Sugar's Bladder

I would have given him 10k and 3 weeks to think about it,afterall he is the captain.

I thought 1 was about right, maybe 2 at most ,given his clean record .Any issue's to do with his role as captain should be, in my honest opinion, dealt with separately, as this offence, off itself dosnt warrent a stripping of his role

Re: Sugar's Bladder

Can we hear what actually happend before we hang out Captain out to dry
Wouldn't have to read what happened if the Captain didn't hang it out in the first place. :)

Richmond captain Kane Johnson has been arrested over an incident in which he was caught urinating in public.
The Tigers have confirmed Johnson was charged with being drunk in a public place, after urinating outside a St Kilda Road police complex in Melbourne's inner east in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Club officials were meeting to discuss the incident, with a penalty for the skipper yet to be decided.
Stunningly, Johnson's indiscretion came just a week after a similar act by Carlton star forward Brendan Fevola, which resulted in him being sanctioned by his club.
Fevola was spared a suspension by the Blues for urinating outside a nightclub and played in Carlton's opening round loss to the Tigers.
But he was fined $10,000, stood down from the club's leadership group, ordered to undergo counselling and warned that another similar incident in the future would result in his sacking
Seems pretty much confirmed. The club should be applauded for dealing with it so quickly
As to whether people think it was to little and that he should have been dealt more harshly with, then I suggest they take it up with the club.
