Kane Tenace training with us?

the rookie minimum is 40k per year and Newton was on 100k at the demons. If another club picked up Newton they would pay him 40k and we would pay him 60k for the duration of his contract with Melbourne, which is think ends next year.
Exactly right. When a player gets delisted he is entitled to the money left on the contract. Otherwise the contracts would hold no significance as players would not obtain anything from being delisted b4 the contract has run out.

Bartram should no where near be delisted, he give's his all everyweek. He even played just after his father had died, if that ain't passion then I dunno what is. He loves the club, and we should love him back for his efforts.

Not knocking his endeavour and commitment one bit - but I dont care if he gives his left testicle and plays after hes just died HIMSELF.. hes average at best, wouldnt play seniors in a top 8 side and has had plenty of time on the list.

If he doesnt excel this year hes gone (and I stand by my comment that I would have delisted him before Valenti and probably Meeson too).

IF we took him and Thorp we'd have picks;

1 - Watts/Scully
2 - Trengove
3 - Sylvia
4 - Morton
5 - (McLean would have been handy here)
6 - Thorp
7 - Tenace
8 - Meesen

That's one Brock away from an unbelievable set of numbers.

+
12 - Frawley/Jones
13 - Bate
14 - Bell/Grimes
15 - Dunn
16 - (nothing.. boo)
17 - Blease

We have to pick Thorpe in the PSD if it's out of him, MacDonald and Tenace.

Tenace has pace but no skills
MacDonald has average skills and plays in one of the few positions that we should have covered
Thorpe still has the potential to be decent

Never...EVER disgrace young Jack like that by putting his name next to Bell and a forward slash!

How old is he? (No, I do NOT want him, just wondering lol)

Hope he finds a bew home, although I can't say I'd blame you guys for not wanting to take on his shortcomings.

its not impressive.. it means we have been a bad team for a long time
What a load of BigSexc...

If you are going to waste time on our board then at least put some thought into your posts. Scully and Trengove aren't even at the club yet. 6,7,8 are all recycled rejects and we traded 5 for 11 (so no double up). In the below list we have only had maybe 3 players who have had a chance to make an impact.

1 - Watts/Scully
2 - Trengove
3 - Sylvia
4 - Morton
5 - (McLean would have been handy here)
6 - Thorp
7 - Tenace

what i meant Randy was that we shouldnt get all excited because of how may low draft picks we do or could have.. not a sign of greatness or something 'impressive'

I know a little bit about him, but am interested in your view on his shortcomings?

Kane's not an absolute spud, he just doesn't fit in with our gameplan. Played 44 games in his first 3 years, and only 15 in his last 3, and those (this year) were only because we were butchered by injuries. It's no coincidence that once we changed the gameplan going into 07 this is why he stopped getting games. After all, Kane is quick (and isn't a downhill skier) but he does have a propensity to turn the footy over, particularly by foot, and with our hot potato game plan that's the one thing we couldn't afford. Hence why he stopped getting games even though he was one of the most liked clubmen. The disposal isn't as bad as it was 2 years ago, but he still turns it over and we have other alternatives that don't, which is why he left. Whether he would be of any use to you is something you have to factor into with that.

Fair enough.
