I don't know any of the numbers but the names I heard on the radio all night long was Bolton, O'Loughlin (spelling??) and, who am I kidding the whole team had blinders. With that effort the Roos don't deserve to be in the finals and just as this topic says they are down the ****ter.

This is officially the end of the Kangaroos' era I think.

I love it how you victorians never credit the swans at all.

Great win by the swans..pure agression and players around the ball at all times forcing the roos too thuck up under pressure.

Hopefully we will show the same grit next week against the bombers. I spoke to schwatta a few weeks back and he said the boys are not scared at all against the dons.

well, go eagles... big call.. but honestly, i think freo have more going for them!!

north are getting old.. carey, stevens and martyn, (to name a few) are going to be huge losses over the summer!

freo on the other hand, have a good young base of players, and todays win will only do them good!!

if anyone is going to get freo up, i think it might be big den!!

Thought that North just looked very tired tonight. They may have had a real mental letdown after their previous two rounds and the closeness and results of those games would probably have had an influence on just how badly they fell away after half time (more so when Carey missed that goal after a great old time 'Carey' mark in the goal square).

Saying that, cant take anything away from the Swans. Ran in numbers, hit the packs hard and with Kelly back to near his best in patches they could draw upon his leadership as an inspiration.

Good luck to them, after the way they went with their (Swans) first meeting with the Dons this year (also went into that with some solid form behind them) be interesting to see how far they have come on since then.

Maybe, but just remember - to have an "end of an era" means at least you've HAD AN ERA.
There's quite a few clubs I can think of that would have gladly had a last decade or so as successful as North's was: two flags, three grand finals, a spot in the prelim every year since 94 and some pretty memorable moments throughout*.

[*plus a couple of night flags, they ain't worth Jack Sh*t compared to the real thing...]
