How can you call us mediocre. It wasnt us who recently broke a 43 year Premiership drought.

North Melbourne deserve to be in the AFL more than Geelong does and your only still in the comp because of North Melbourne. It would be nice to go back in time and maybe get the club to change its mind so we wouldnt have to put up with the handbag carrying hicks from Sleepy Hollow.

Maybe Geelong should have moved when you were in 10 million dollars worth of debt.

That's why hindsight is such a wonderful thing.

I look forward to you exchanging the blue and white verticals for the hoops by 2028, because your club will be gone.

Can you honestly explain to me how you plan on surviving in Melbourne?

We can easily survive in Melbourne. How about you do your own research into James Brayshaws plan which has been backed by people who have made alot more money than you and I ever have.

If I was going to change clubs I wouldnt pick Geelong.

Why would it be on bay 13? This topic was posted following the Kangaroos attracting a crowd of 20k to a home final after finishing 5th.

4 flags in 73 years, most spoons in the league after St Kilda?

How about the team that only has 1 flag in 73 years?

For the sake of Victorian Football, I hope it does work out for you, I just don't think it will.

PS: There is a significant difference between surviving and prospering.

You say that as though the people who put Brayshaw's plan together don't know that.

I'm, er, pretty sure they do. :(

No, I say that as though there is no point the Kangas staying in Melbourne just surviving in order to preserve tradition, when they could have looked to the future and porpsered significantly on the Gold Coast.

I don't think the Kangas will last another 20 years, either as a Melbourne based club, or as a club at all. I cannot foresee a successful means of competing with and beating the Melbourne giants, of Collingwood, Richmond, Essendon, or Carlton, that will see you rise up again off field down the track.

Fine, you can't, we can, and they can. And they're the one's that matter.

If we manage 30,000 members in 2008 which won't be hard, we'll already be there with a Richmond, and on field we're miles ahead of them, and 2 of the 3 teams you mentioned, and probably just shading Collingwood. As for off field, a lot of Victorian clubs that will be here long term don't match those, and never will. Yours being one of them. That is not the criteria and never was.

SL. I dont think you quite understand that it was not a relocation. It was a takeover by the AFL.

The licence currently held by the NMFC Pty Ltd would have been been bought by the AFL.

Once that happened the AFL could sell it to whoever they wanted to. They could offload it to Southport and say to Southport that you can call the club what you want. Who was going to hold the AFL to their word that the new club would still be called the Kangaroos? The NMFC? They cant because the business was wound up when the AFL bought the shares.

All those other enticements would go to Southport not the NMFC.

What were all those people who were pro GC going to say when the Southport Sharks run out for there first game in there own colours singing there own song?

Look who got my post deleted.

Have a sook you little girl.

Pure Essendon fan, dishes it out (A la Dean Solomon (Soft) and Mark Johnson).

McVeigh.

Welsh.

Could name your whole list actually.

I think it's disappointing that people revel in the problems that the Kangaroos are encountering currently. Sure, think that they will go the gold coast, but don't be gleeful. None of these options are good, a changing of a club is always a messy, painful, ugly affair. I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone.

I've noticed now that some people are glad to see north suffer, or at least, they would be glad to see north either die or move. Talk about bitter. I don't know whether north will go, I don't know whether they should (I'm not going to comment either), but what I do know is that fans from other clubs shouldn't be sticking in the boot, talking about kicking a man while he's down, sheesh. :thumbsd:
