Below is a summary of our Ladder predictions for 2007 from this thread. Most of the media predict us to finish between 14th & 16th. Where do we see our improvement coming from.

My thoughts are;
1. Better preseason preparation that will allow us to play out a full game.
2. Improvements from Hay, Brown, McConnell, McIntosh, Swallow.
3. Inclusion of Edwards, Grima, Urch, Hansen, Riggio, Smith
4. More attacking game plan (hopefully).

Interesting reading. Some fine calls from Nip/Tuck and BZAROO, in particular.

Sorry I can't be much more optimistic people but I just can't see where the improvement is coming from. I think we are in the process of "bottoming out" (not a bad thing BTW) and that there is more pain to come before we inevitably climb again.

Can't agree with this Limerick. In fact I think this 'explanation' was classic post season spin doctoring from the club.

Some of our worst losses were in the last 3 or 4 games (eg Melbourne, Collingwood etc). Surely by round 20 we were finally fit and this stopped being an excuse?

Seemed to me that we ran the game out ok against Port in Rd 1.

I have spoken to a number of players at Arden St and the consistent message is that the preparation this year is far superior to that of 06. A number of players are noticably leaner and faster. Time will tell.
