mate, you are welcome to bag me, but how dare you insult me and compare me to a richmond supporter.

I've supported this club, my club for 26 yrs. Finacially supported it for over 15.

It was all well and good for us to turn on our coach in 2002, but for some reason, it's not like carlton supporters to turn on their coach, nowa days.

Even whilst i've been no fan of pagan or what he is doing at carlton, i still pick myself up and support my team week in week out. It's because i don't like what i see, and don't like what has become of my once mighty club that i continue, and will continue to voice my opinion.

As far as the 50+ posts about pagn, at least they are about somthing. Unlike you and your one word posts, and your smiley faces.

You dont even know who the coaches are down at Carlton and had to ask on this forum. You are not a real supporter at all.
I must be the only person actually responding to your posts as the others here see no reason to. You getting the idea?

The clubs needs people to buy there meberships next year. I am not happy with Pagan either. I want some changes to the coaching panel. Changes to the list. I am prepared to wait and see what the club does in the draft/trades/delistings and off field.
We dont know what Pagan has in mind until then.

.

Where did i insult you??

as for knowing the coaching panel, well i do i was just trying to point to the fact that the coaches currently there don't cut it. Pagan brought his mates along, they haven't shown squat, yet they continue to be on the payroll.

Just tone it all down. The difference between you and me is not that much. You want to have a crack at Collo and Pagan now where I am waiting until the season is over and then see what the club does before I start critisizing.

Lets see who we get in the draft. Who we delist. Who we pick up from other clubs. What changes are made to the coaching panel.

Mal Michael walks out from Brisbane and comes to Carlton in the PSD.
Carlton announce Murphy is there number 1 pick.
Shannon Hurn/Clark is there pick 3.

Pick 19 they get Jones/Swallow.

Drum is picked up at 10 with some trading.
3/4 of the recycled blokes are delisted.
Rehn/Voss joins the coaching panel.

Collo makes an announcement on new facilities (already something being done) and how the club is going to pay for it.

Club announces a profit and how the debt is coming down.
Setanta and Jesse Smith are put onto the senior list.

I want to hear some things like that. If not I will be having a crack at the Blues.

how many posts are there stating that lance should be traded. That prenda should be delisted??

What threads do you want me to start??

Perhaps a pagan appreciation thread, list all the achievements he has at carlton.

I tried that but couldn't come up with one.

rather than just taking pot shots at the carlton football club and in particual pagan, how about you once in a while talk abot some positives.

maybe how there has been an improvement in walkers game since he was given the role of tagging the oppositions best player.
how carazzo has been a success story for us coming off the rookie list
how you have seen steanta apply himself to the game of football and how impressive he has been at times playing for the bullants.

think of some positves and some constructive ways the carlton football club can improve with what its currently got.

maybe someting like- lets try waite in the backline as our 3rd tall option.

Well said.

Waite on Pav this week I would like to see. Waite has been down the last few games but he is a talent.
Kouta to the forward pocket. Carrazzo to stay on the ball like last week.
Whitnall at CHF all game all day for every minute. Fevola at FF all game. Eddie Betts to be brought in and have the other forward pocket.
Simpson on the HF flank kicking a few golas and hitting Fev lace out. Houlihan on the other forward flank with his skills delivering the ball helping the forwards out.
Russell to have more game time and play on the wing. Fisher to come in and play on the other wing.
Livingston to play full back on McPharlin and for Pagan to show confidence in him. Thornton to take the third tall and be the third defender up to help Waite and Livo out. Run forward of the ball and create.
Bowyer to get Medhurst. Campo on the HB flank creating back there.
Stevens and Walker joining Carrazzo on the ball.

this does not address the issue at the moment. As we are on the bottom of the ladder, we'd be discussing, the reasons behind it and also what needs to happen to change our predicament.

What we need is the right attitude in the club. The opposition runs away into space too esily, we don't play for our team mates, we don't create any play. That is what is wrong with our team. It's not talent. Its attitude.

Correct me if i'm wrong, is it not the coaching staffs job to get this attitude right??

If we play man on man, and give 100 5 each time we run out there, then i'd be happy with our performance, even if we lose. But what i can't handle is when our best midfielder is at chb doing nothing. Our second forward is in the back line doing nothing. Our midfield is unaccountable and lets there opponents run off them to be the next link in the oppositions chain.

We can't even get the ball sucessfully out of our backline each time a goal is kicked. Why not kick it 50-60 mts out rather then a chip kick 15mts out.

We have the palyers, they are all big and ugly enough to get the job done. Ok i admit, that our midfield at the moment is not up to scratch, why not let prenda play a kouta type role, he's big enough. Why not let davies run out a game in the midfield, why not leve hula in the forward line along with lappin.

We have the personnel, when we have the ball in our possesion, all that is required is for our players to want to be the next link in the chain.

This is some of the best logic I have read on this forum. Well done.
I still like Kouta in the middle for stages of the game, preferrably the first 10-15 minutes of each quarter. Even if during this time he pushed forward after centre bounces, I'd be happy. His clearence work is too valuable.

I can understand that. The more he plays in the forward line the more we can get out of him later in the game and next year. If others get his time in the midfield they can develop faster. Kouta will draw a good defender and he can clear the ball in the forward line from stoppages. He will create some match up headaches.
I want to see other players develop but still get something out of our experienced players.
Kouta to the forward pocket and Campo to the HBF. Better than Kouta/Campo/Stevens onball and not being able to chase and us getting run over when they get tired.

attitude is as much a responsibility of the player as it is of the coach.
these guys are highly paid, skilled professionals, football is their lively hood and chosen career, they shouldn't need the coaches to get their attitudes right, we are dealing with professional athletes not 8 year olds. If these guys can't self motivate themselves then they are kidding themselves.
coaches or supportes or family can't make players put their bodies on the line, its upto the players.
you can say anything you want to someone, but you can't make them change their attitude, they have to want to change their attitude.
as i have said before the players have to take some responsibilty for our performances, all 22 that run out each week.

I can't believe this crap. Fine it's the responsibility of the players to get themselves 100% ready to take on the opposition. Why the F### is there a coach, what is his reponsibility??

I'm starting to seriously wonder about this. If we need a coach who mollycoddles our players to get the best out of them, then Pagan is definately not the man.

BTW. I Hope Norman get a chance, with Davies and Simpson extended periods in the midfield. Also if Norman is injured and cant play seniors until he has surgery, can't we just call it a season for him, just get the surgery and promote Jesse Smith?

Why are we paying Pagan so much then? Because he certainly hasn't got a game plan.

im taking about players being professionls, being able to self motivate and taking some responsibility and being accountable. just like you want the coach to be accountable, so do the players.

BTW i was not not placing sole responsibility one one party.

coaches are there to provide all the tools for a player to utilise to make it at afl level.

at the end of the day players have the biggest influence on who wins games as its 18 v 18.
