Perfect example of magistrates poor judgement
 
Drugs are a health issue and use and possession should not be dealt with as a criminal act. For being found guilty of just possession, Hunt's penalty was spot on.

True if his intent was personal use but it was made clear by Hunt himself that he sourced it for other users as well, this takes him beyond possession and as such he should not of been able to plea bargain down to this slap on the wrist IMO

There's a difference between idiots supplying drugs for mates at the party, and organised criminals supplying with the intent to sell and make a sweet profit. Those in the former shouldn't be dumped with the latter, and from all accounts Karmichael was just an idiot not a drug lord.
