I know he is not by any means in the competitions elite category, but the question on my mind now is how far can he go. When will his steep incline start to level out?

Next year will be his 3rd season of AFL footy (and 4th season of footy in total), and that will tell us if there is any more improvement left in him.
Why?
Players like Jimmy Stynes and Kenneally, and even Mike Pyke, started coming into their own in around their 3rd season of AFL footy.
Also, I've heard it said many times that you need three full pre-seasons to develop the engine for AFL standard, and given where Hunt came from, no doubt he would get as much benefit from his 3rd pre-season as any rookie.

What are peoples expectations of him in 2013? 30+ games now under his belt.
Will be interesting to see how he goes, with other players likely to give him a bit more attention.
Recent article saying that Hunt has slimmed down far more. Has been working very hard on the track. Not sure he'll lose much more weight, to be honest. He's far lighter than he was playing Union, but still heavier than he was at the Broncos (though younger then too). Could be he's reached his AFL playing weight.

Probably at his ideal AFL weight. I can see him playing about 15-16 games this year running through the middle and potentially being a more damaging player. So long as he just keeps on working on his tank then that's all that I really want of him as an AFL fan.
Just realized that he's incredible bottom heavy with those thighs although that might be just the lighting and all that. Having a powerful lower body is one of those things that is insanely important for players like Ablett so here's hoping that Hunt keeps it like that.
He looks slimmed down. I'm expecting a solid to good season from him. Around 3rd midfielder at 6th placed team level.

His thighs have always been huge. I don't think they're going to get much smaller, no matter how much running he does.
He was awesome against the Bombers this year. If he can have that sort of impact around the ball it allows Ablett and the super talented kids around him to shine. I personally think they should trade for one more bull like that around the ball .... pretty sure with the young talent they've got they could get a deal done with Carlton for Bell ... who would be perfect for the Suns to compliment Hunt. Then in 2014 all their players will have had 4 preseasons under the belt and Hunt and Bell as the beef cakes to clear a path and protect them!! Probably need a tagger too.
It would just be good to see some more improvement, running games out more, mixing it up a bit.

One of the big reasons I like Gold Coast more than WSYD, such a killer dude with a great work ethic and who looks to have embraced the game of AFL in all it's forms.

I can see him becoming at least VC for GC. Natural born leader and seems a top fella as well.

Apparently he absolutely destroyed Prestia today in the match simulation with a fairly heavy bump. I was worried that with the loss of weight, he would lose some of the power. Seems that's not the case.

So he knuckled down, trained hard, became a leader on and off the field, and slowly but surely became better at playing AFL football. Now no-one can mock him for lack of effort or application and he demonstrates what you can achieve if you work hard for it. I think everyone (except Richmond fans) would've been pretty happy to see him kick a winning goal after the siren too.
A real success story.

yeah good post. He's a bloody gun, with the attitude of a star. You can't help but wish him all the best. To switch sports, and go from hero to zero, and reshape your body and learn new skills and work you're way back up, to the point where he really could be anything, is just an incredible story of a guy with the right stuff. One of my favourite players

Definitely, they don't call Prestia the Human Meatball for nothing! He's a little unit. Just came off second best and got flattened by K. Jumped back onto his feet though, so no harm done.
