Why hasnt he been playing this year, What a superb game he did have, I think he saved himself from delisting, he should get a game next year in defence and release Wirra too play a midfield role.

Thoughts??

Yeah he surprised me today. I thought he played pretty well. The question is can he repeat that form on a regular basis. I guess Bones is ahead of him though, thats why he hasn't been getting a game. I still don't think he plays well on the last line of defense but he did his job today.

Great game by Kasey but wouldn't shift Wirra from a back pocket only because there is no one else who does the sweeping role better than him.

Impressive thing about Greens game was he wasn't lost in the pressure.
He, along with Gaspar havent played a whole lot of AFL footy in the last 2 years so to be a last minute call up would have been tough.
Kasey Green kept his cool. Did OK & has improved from his unreliable days in our backline..

I thought he was terrific yesterday (from a Pies supporters perspective). Looked very good across halfback and used the ball very well. Great kick. Was very good in 2003, wasn't he?

Trade bait? If so, as a Magpie, I'm up for him.

Very similar to Chick in size and versatile.
I'd say he'd stay on the list.

Great work considering he's only played at AFL level twice this year.

Also because I don't think he has the tank to play midfield.

Just realised he is 27 next year, a bit older than I thought but its good to have some experienced depth players. I would keep him around. Chick and Banfield won't be around too much longer.

versatile, underrated player, that performance probably saved his career. He is awesome backup and depth for us. It's players like that that can step in when a big name player goes down that makes the eagles so strong, you lose a top liner with most teams and they just don't have the depth to step in and play like that. Very impressive.

He was very good indeed, however I'm still convinced he will be traded / delisted
He quoted in the West this morning that he wouldn't have a drama going to another club should he not be given the opportunites at the Eagles that said would love to stay there if the choice was his but is also looking for more game time....GAWN!!!!!!!!!!

Kasey played very well on the weekend. I was very suprised at how well he did play. But i seriously doubt whether he can turn that performance into a week-in week-out team. Hes definetaly going to be on the list next year - and if he plays well in the preseason he'll get a chance round 1 2006 i'd suggest.

Going by what the paper says today he's looking to be traded. He wants a starting spot in a team, something that he is stuggling to get at the eagles as Brett Jones appears in the pecking order before him.

Jones shouldn't even be considered in the same mindset, but that's the whole issue with Kasey at the Eagles.

The guy is a supreme athlete first, and footballer second. He needs a wing to play on but won't get it at the our club. People around here actually think he's slow, they are kidding themselves

A small defender he ain't, but unfortunately that's what he's judged on

Was fantastic in 03 IIRC. Across half back with Jako and Hunter. Hasnt had as many chances in the last 2 years but I rate him. Good squad depth type of player who I hope plays a few games next season.
