A club digital membership is now $350 p.a (up from around $280 last year) but it does allow you to split the membership/Kayo service with another person provided you both keep it on one device each. That's $175 per person for a year.

But yeah agree with your sentiments. It's the loss of sports on Kayo that really irks me.
i looked but couldnt find it - where can i see suns digital membership offer? or any club really as i may do this and split with someone

Yeah nah can't justify giving them more money for a diminishing service no matter even split between the mrs and I (club memberships used to be $220 for the year)

Probably about time I had more productive weekends than sitting and watching footy all the time anyway

They make it bloody hard to find...giving them funky names...and most of it requires you to surf through the Ticketmaster platform which is a PITA.

Had a quick look for the Suns...couldn't find it!

Here is an example from the West Coast Eagles: https://am.ticketmaster.com/westcoasteagles/eagles-on-demand
And from Brisbane Lions: https://am.ticketmaster.com/brisbanelions/membership/supporter/digital-membership

Last year, GWS had a much cheaper digital package than other clubs, but it looks like they're all uniform prices this year. GWS: https://am.ticketmaster.com/gwsgiants/DigitalGIANT

With Ch.7 now streaming its footy on 7Plus, it might open up the possibility of being able to watch more games each week (involving the non-Victorian clubs) via FTA, if you know your way around a few geo-location-shifting tricks. Remains to be seen if Ch.7 can quash this.

Essendons digital mship is up to $350 ($29pm) but the Dogs is showing $250, I assume though they just haven't updated their website yet.

But yeah, I'll be going with whoever has the cheapest deal, certainly not paying $40pm.

Bulldogs is showing $350 for me. I am sure they're all $350 this year...some clubs might chuck in a scarf or hat, which is good if you're splitting with a supporter of one of those clubs.

Is 7plus showing every game every round this year??
Just normal ones but you can probably change your location and view other states games now

Be warned though, their stream is dogshit, can't live rewind/catchup or pause and it's like 60-120 seconds delayed depending on the day

It's only the Channel 7 produced games, that will be streamed on 7plus. The Fox produced games shown on 7 outside Victoria won't be streamed on 7plus.

2025 delivers a major change in Australian sports broadcasting, brought on by a new rights deal for the AFL and AFLW. The partners are the same – Seven/7plus and Foxtel/Kayo – but Channel Seven’s director of network sport Chris Jones said the network is preparing for a “new era of footy”, including more Thursday and Sunday night matches, which he believes will mean more can access the sport without additional outlays.

“The big change for the viewers at home, you can stream all the traditional broadcast matches that Seven has shown, any match that we’re producing will also be able to be streamed on 7plus for free,” Jones said.

That's like the majority of WA's games then lol

I guess it's how the stop other states from watching in but all it really does is ruin it for those actual states.

Guess people in WA won't be ditching the antenna

With Disney now taking up the ESPN stream it might be time for me to reconsider my Kayo output

As I get older the less games of AFL I watch so I wont miss too many games I was never watching anyway

Only consideration is how many Crows games will be on delay - if its less than 3 I think I can do it

Saving the extra $25 - $40 needs to be strongly considered

Disney announced on Tuesday that ESPN's slate of Australian and international sports programmes – including live local and US basketball and American football, as well as their continuous 24/7 channels – will soon be available on all Disney+ plans
.

With Disney Plus' Standard plan starting at $13.99 per month, it will be one of the cheapest options in Australia to watch ESPN.

Surprised Disney hadn't put ESPN stuff on Disney+ earlier. I assume there must have been some exclusive contract with Foxtel that's only just now lapsed?

It's 4 this year.

ESPN has never been exclusive, it's been available on Fetch, and on some other random niche streaming service as well from memory
You're right, I forgot about Fetch. But then, that makes the decision to wait until now to put it on Disney+ even more perplexing to me.

you can always just watch the replay on the afl site, usually up around 12~ hours after the game, generally speaking
