I love KB. He really is our second best ever player, only behind Jack Dyer. I wish we had a young KB running around the grounds now, he would murder everyone!!

I was gonna start a thread on this but yer, I watched it, i was thinking what the **** is everyone on about ?

he seemed to love the club ? had nothing but good praise!!! maybe anything he has said is due to some of the shit he went through and how the club started to fall around 1980 which is fair enough.

I would be pissed to with the way the club went around that time!!!

that's the thing with Mitch Morton, many used to think he had that level of ability in him. wonder what happened.

Mitch could be a star, no doubt, but he'll never be a KB. Different players anyway, Mitch doesn't do the level of running KB did.

Just watched this highlight reel of KB and oh my god he was amazing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK4K4InPASw

At the one minute mark, he scoops the ball off the ground, in the forward pocket, twists his way around one Carlton player, sidesteps a second and slots through a goal.

God-like stuff.

They changed the Holding the ball dropping the ball rule to try and curb him, I never saw jack but isaw KB and Royce hart and KB is our greatest player, by gee he was quick and in 74 when he was stiffed for the brownlow he averaged over 35 KICKS a game and the odd hand ball.

He had this skill of as soon as someone touched him he would bounce the ball, today thats illegal disposal.

And a bloke who kicked 112 goals for the year only bagging two that day. Gee we were good then.
:thumbsu:THE forward line that day contained something like Roach, Cloke, Jess, Bartlett, Rowlings and Wiley .... how the f*** we stuffed it all up has me beat.
To think we also had the leading goalkicker in the reserves that year in Mark 'Jacko' Jackson with 130 odd and the guy in the under 19s Peter Lane topped the ton as well.
Geez were good back then!

Watched the 1980 grand final and he was unbelievable, 7 goals and the norm smith.

Absolute legend. :thumbsu::thumbsu:
KB is a living AFL legend....403 games, 770 goals...5 flags and in that 1980 final series he kicked

6 goals
8 goals
7 goals GF

21 goals in the finals series...The only fella to go near that is Gary Ablett..and Buddy kicked a few a couple of years back...pretty good company huh

Some of the plays in that GF were the stuff of legend, poetry it was

He was and always will be a TIGER CHAMP in my mind only a tally ho paper off what Jack Dyer achieved in footy

and it was fantastic to see him in the rooms, it's easy to see KB continues to have a great affinity with the RFC
