Freeman for the medal?? are you people serious? i think you will find some Murch officials may have a dirty arm crush!!

Yeah mate...........:thumbsu:
he also mite get the flush hit award that he copped from P.Fantini of ardy.... hahahaha
Freo is good bloke and is in medal winning form.... Murch are winning games soooo he will get votes....

Sorry to bring up old news, but just wondering on the Ardy runner situation. When a runner is suspended it usually means that no runner can be used while that suspension is served ie. in AFL with 2 runners, if one cops a week, then they can only use 1 runner in that game. Does the same apply for Ardy - no runner for the rest of the season? Can anyone that ACTUALLY KNOWS shed some light on this?

A couple of other observations/points/questions - no12 for VT CAN play, Lancaster were completely full of sh!t with Chilcott, no-one from the "mainland" knows how to spell Colonel (Sanders), can anyone confirm the Rachele/Meka/Yze's to Ardmona rumour or James back to Stanhope - and some scuttlebutt about Ardmona and the KDFL - will this relationship continue....? Some whispers around that de-registration could be on the cards after the events of recent weeks??

Ask Craig Hutchison...

Tips this week fellas...

Avenel vs Stanhope Stanhope prob have the heads down, should still have a win on satdy Stanny by 17 points

Merrigum vs Gig Merrigum will be too strong for Gig, only kicked couple goals last week. Merrigum by 45

Murch vs Lanky Murch will take some good form in, Lanky will pull away in the second half, Lanky by 30

Undera vs Ardy Undera will be too strong, no matter whos on the track for ardy. Lions by 67

Nagambie vs Rushworth I think this will be a great game, rushy still pushing up there, Nagambie might jst pip them, Lakers by 15 points

VT vs Tally Another good game, only tipping VT because of the home ground advantage, Towners by 4 points

News out of stanhope today Fairweather dropped to 2nds Baker on the bench, then spent the day out at Merrigum watching along with Regan Hanson.

Can anyone from Gig confirm this or is it all talk ???

I'm not big on belting umpires in country footy but... the game today between Stanhope and Avenel was farcical. For an Avenel player to be sent off for defending himself (after having his head nearly knocked clean off) and less than 2 minutes later a Stanhope player to Clearly headbutt an Avenel player less than 5 metres from an umpire to get off scott free was a disgrace. I don't know who the umpire was, however being less than 25 metres from the incident and seeing that the umpire was in the perfect position to make the call i was very disappointed that there was not even as much as a reprimand for the Stanhope player that very clearly maliciously headbutted an opposition player.

For the record i felt that the game was well fought out between both sides and Stanhope worked hard for the win. I have no comment on other umpiring decisions during the game (i am an Avenel supporter), however this kind of spineless umpiring is something that cannot be ignored.

Well quitehawk l was at the end that it happend and the goal umpire must have been looking at somthing else as well ,l seen it AS PLAIN AS DAY and the umpire didnt move he must have had somthing on Friday night

Saw the Murch VS Lancaster game thinking that it would be an easy win for the Wombats, it was the complete opposite with Murch having the better for most of the game. The midfield for Murch had the better of their opponets for three quarters, # 15 Hoggie and # 2 Corrigan were outstanding, Bradley up forward looked dangerous and was too quick for his opponet, and coach Williams was always dangerous at CHF. Freeman in the ruck mopped up alot of footy deep in defence. Lancaster trailed by a goal at three quarter time, then murch kicked the first goal. Murch were leading by 11 points with bout 10 mins to play. Burnett for lancaster took control of the center with the help of some good ruck work and # 9 Pryde who kicked 5 goals was out standing. Lancaster totally overan Murch in the last 5 mins and ended up winning by 20 points in a great game of football.

BEST PLAYERS
5 - Hodgetts
4 - Pryde
3 - Corrigan
2 - Burnett
1 - Bradley

Is T. Mitchell injured for the Wombats didn't see him out thier yesterday and noticed he did'nt kick a goal last week.

Another lucky escape similar to the Tally game, only this time we left it a bit later to decide whether we wanted the 4pts or not. Frustrating.

Would've thought Prydey would've got the votes, 5 goals from the middle. A damn good game by the three-legged one.

22 minutes gone in the last when Murch kicked their last goal to put them up by 11pts. From there the game shifted and Lancaster kicked a flurry of goals to get over the line. It was a good effort in the end with 5 blokes coming up from the seconds for their first games of the year( 3 of them playing in their 1st senior game) to fill some holes from guys pulling out.

We're always in for a battle against Murch and it was well fought out all game.
Luckily for Lanky, Murch's Bradely had the yips in front of the sticks as well.

Mitch got himself hitched on the long weekend and is on his honeymoon.

Mate all I have to say is you played stanhope they are untouchable in KDFL I think chitty is on the stanhope board...hahahaha

Mate he walk out of the 1st hearing due to VT wanting to play the video they had of the fight, which has to be submitted in writing 5days before the hearing and not on the night of the hearing.

And also to all the other clubs BAR (VT) I would like to wish you luck if you ever get reported playing against VT as the PLAYERS CODE MEANS NOTHING TO THAT CLUB!!!!

NUMBER 12 FROM VT IS A BLOODY GIVE UP AND SHOULD NOT BE PLAYING FOOTY HE SHOULD BE AN INFORMER FOR THE COPS....WHAT EVER HAPPEND TO HELPING GET ANOTHER PLAYER OFF AND THEN OWE HIM A BEER LATER........:mad:

I have been told that one of the bushcats may have put one of the Nagambie boys in it on friday night, I am not sure about this "PLAYERS CODE" you talk about.
I am not sure of the names of the players involved and I could have 2nd hand info that may not be true. Could you fill us in Boofaaa 79 or anyone from Nagambie if you know what happend?

VT vs Tally.

We led from start to finish slightly extending our lead each quarter. We were actually up by 66pts with about 5 - 10mins to go, but we'd sung our song already and let them pile on the last 4 goals simply through stopping to chase them and not pushing hard to man up.
I thought we had 18 solid contributors on the field with most of them at least matching their opponent if not beating them comfortably.
We took a solid lead into the halftime break and I think Tally pretty much called it quits by then and started to think about their ball which they were having Sat night. Waasdorp went off at halftime, not sure why, whether it was an injury or not? Maybe a Tally lad could clarify that one. The younger skinny sidebottom that plays on the wing was probably a shining light for them in patches. Other than that it was good to get our 4th win and that chase for 5th spot is definetly hotting up....
Maybe 4th spot is up for grabs to now with Stanhopes form in the previous 5 or 6 weeks.....

Anyone from Merrigum vs Girgarre got a match report?

Yeah mate the ardy boy did put him in it at the tribunral as informed buy his club as we are sick of all other clubs doing it to our players ALL YEAR, So I guess the player code has gone out the window my friend, it is a shame but if he is told by his club to do it well I think as a clubman you must do as asked. BIG SHAME BUT THATS FOOTY NOW

a very interesting year bodzy with the log jam in the middle, vt , murch, rushy look the faves to get merrigums spot if the pressure gets em' but stanhope could fall yet with ardy and tally maybe still a chance.....i dont think the top 3 are that invincible either havent played vt or tally yet but rushy were impressive at murch. s.formica been hittin some form for the bushcats.......

Guys,

Can anyone give me any info about Aidan Thompson from Rushworth?

Apparently he's heading to Sydney shortly.

Cheers in advance.

Word is that he is no longer playing as he is moving up to sydney for private reasons. think he played his last game a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah he hurt his shoulder a few weeks back so he missed a few and now he is heading up to sydney.

So at the halfway point of the season the ladder looks like this:

1 Nagambie
2 Undera
3 Lancaster
4 Stanhope
5 Merrigum

6 Violet Town
7 Murchison
8 Rushworth
9 Tallygaroopna
10 Ardmona
11 Avenel
12 Girgarre

From here it looks as though Stanhope, if they don't improve their form, could well be watching the finals from the sidelines for the first time in a few years. It would seem from recent results that Murchison and Merrigum seem to be the two sides most likely to claim fourth and fifth. Rushworth, Tallygaroopna and Ardmona seem destined for a year of mediocrity, hopefully they can turn it around and maybe challenge some of the big boys.

Not really a big call, but it looks as though the top three are already starting to get out of reach of the chasing pack. As Lancaster are already two games clear of fourth placed Stanhope, and Undera and Nagambie another half a game ahead of Lancaster, it would seem there would have to be a monumental disaster for these sides to relinquish their spot at the top of the ladder. Although Patty Rattray going down for the Lakers should test their depth.

At the other end of the table it looks as though Girgarre could be shaping up nicely for the wooden spoon, even though they are sitting on the same amount of points as Avenel, at least the Swans have put in a good showing against all but Undera and Nagambie. Even a 50-point loss to Merrigum isn't that bad when you consider they have only one win for the year. Girgarre on the other hand, seem to be the perennial whipping boys, besides their win against Avenel, the closest they've come to any other team was a 48-point loss to Murchison.

think violet town and rushy could still claim that elusive spot yet, a long way to go but stanhope might have to tug on some heart strings for the first time in awhile no james this year in what looks like a mediocre fwd line at best
