I woulda thought Stanhope to be a good bet at $8, especially if they get the signing of Sierakowski from Ky

I'd be surprised if Stanhope had spoken to sierakowski. I thought Hank was doing their recruiting and we all know his thoughts on players going to a lower standard for any reasons other than coaching. That'd be a blatant double standard to give young patten a whack them go try to recruit from the GV wouldn't it?

Good try michael. Please find the post where I said players should only go to a lower standard if they are coaching. Would be interesting me saying that when I have just gone down to a lower standard and I'm not coaching. Using ryan patten as comparison to recruiting sierakowski is laughable. A 20 year old leaving a minor league club where he lives to go and play with another minor league club close to an hour away, compared with a 31year old who has returned to the area after a few years up north and might be thinking he has had enough of the commitment required to play gv, so a drop in standard may be an option. Yep I can see where you're coming from with that comparison, sounds like its exactly the same situation.

You'll always find a way to make youself look like mr. Goodguy Hank, but it was your insinuation, not mine, that players should only play a lower standard if they are either coaching or returning to their home club (like you). But that's ok, you can change your views if and when it suits you, makes no difference to me

Changing your quote of what you are saying I said somewhere already:confused:
Still stand by that I never said the quote you put to me in your first post, or the quote you are giving me this time!
Got nothing to do with making myself look like Mr. Goodguy, but you usually do look better in most people's eyes if you stick to the facts!!:thumbsu:

Here's a new logo that I did for the Murchison FNC, I did it because I feel that our new logo is too cartoony.

Anyway, I can't seem to be able to upload it as a full image, so I'll do it as a thumbnail & you can click on it to get a bigger picture.http://s1102.photobucket.com/albums/g447/waydepetersenMurchison FNC Logos/

P.S
Sorry, this only gives you a link to my main photobucket site (that contains a lot more items, all to do with footy), but if you follow the prompts, you should be able to see what I've done here.

VT played at Benalla Showies this evening and played 4 quarters against 2 different teams for 2 wins. 3 teams played 6 quarters just like the first round of the NAB cup.
We kicked off by playing Yarra Junction in the first 2 quarters and were up 6 goals to 4, then we went off for a half and Yarra Junction played their 2nd half against Swanpool and they beat Swanny by 7 goals.
We came back out for the last 2 quarters of the night and beat Swanny 13 goals to 1.
I'm sure all 3 teams had blokes unavailable as everyone does this time of year due to parties and cricket but was still good to come away with a couple of wins. We've had 3 matches now for 3 wins. We play Thomastown next Saturday and then maybe West Footscray the following weekend.

Gee Bodzy, you blokes will be buggered before the season starts, 5 praccy matches is a fair run into a season.
We played Colbo Friday night, only a 4 quarter game, we had about 15 on the bench so rotations were AFL like. Colbo had a win by 2 goals, scoreboard showed 6 goals 2 to 3 goals 8.

Who played well for both sides Hank...? Freddy Ryan and Dango Ellis still having a kick for the hoppers??

Rushy got touched up by a sleek Elmore outfit yesterday. Not sure of the final score, but pretty sure it was by over 10 goals in the end. Rushy had a good third quarter where they out scored them by 3 goals.

Thought we were pretty ordinary overall, well beaten in the contested footy and Colbo' skill level and ball use was superior, scoreboard certainly flattered us.
We outplayed them in the 3rd 1/4 but didnt convert, they were in control for most of the game other than that period.
Sam Latter went well onball for Colbo, Matt Riordan controlled play well at CHB, Dango Ellis did what he had to do down back, didnt see Freddy Ryan.
Dyl Cuttriss, Adrian Pappin & Tim Bubb were 3 that didnt play for Colbo because of cricket GF yesterday and today. Lowey, Hoota and Sleethy were 3 that didnt have a run for us that would increase the contested footy stats tenfold.
Gibbsy played the last half and looked pretty good back and forward, Jason Norman was lively up forward and Ryan Logan was solid down back. Andrew Cooper who has won the last two reserves B&F's went well through the midfield.

Bloody pissa, there we are trying to gee ourselves up running back out on to the field for the 5th quarter and turn right and cop an eyeful of a bloke streaking and doing the act of air adult entertainment behind a Yarra Junction player with a crowd of mates cheering him on yelling "We're from Girgarre Football Club". Surely not, but who knows?? Was piss funny! He ran right through the Yarra huddle jumping up and down. We just assumed it would've been one of Benalla's many fine citizens enjoying a stock standard Saturday night following on from a big Friday session.....

Could be worse i guess, at least it was not someone behind the goal's yelling racist chants to your players.

Ducked out to watch Undera take on Shepp East on Sat. Can anyone from Undera confirm what kind of strength they were at? I'd heard that there was a wedding involved and several players were unavail. I'd hope that was the case as the Eagles seemed in control for most of the day. That being said, I counted that the Eagles were without 13-14 of their GF side from last year. I believe that Undera should be there abouts this year, but from what I saw on Sat and the week before watching Murch, I would estimate that Undera would be middle of the road and that the hoppers will be struggling to see Sept action. I suppose I dunno whether Shepp East are that strong or that the KDL sides lack a little. Keen to hear some thoughts?

Undera had about 10 senior players not playing including a few key position.I still think Undera will be ok this year , wont have the depth of the 2 previous years but still will be ok . I think Godsy would have been happy with the hit out.On the other hand Shepp East looked a pretty good outfit. Lots of quality all around the ground . If they still have 13 or so out id say they'll be very hard to beat this year .
