Brad Lowe departing stanhope next season, any news on that hank ??
Will still be playing at Stanhope, just stepping down from the coaching role. Has said he enjoys his footy/plays better footy when he can just think about his own game rather than worry about coaching.

Something to consider. Green = probable win, Gold = against a competitor, Red = top 4.
MurchisonBye, Ardmona, Tallygaroopna, Violet Town, Nagambie, Undera, Rushworth (32 points + 8 points = 40)

AvenelBye, Girgarre, Merrigum, Lancaster, Tallygaroopna, Violet Town, Nagambie (30 points + 12 points = 42)

Tallygaroopna Bye, Ardmona, Girgarre, Murchison, Stanhope, Avenel, Rushworth (28 points + 12 points = 40)

StanhopeBye, Girgarre, Merrigum, Tallygaroopna, Lancaster, Violet Town, Undera (28 points + 12 points = 40)
Lancaster Bye, Longwood, Girgarre, Merrigum, Stanhope, Avenel (26 points + 16 points = 42)

It look like it's going to go down to percentages , that's why Murch needs to beat Ardmona by at least 50 goals because it might make the difference.

Speaking of which, here are the games for this week.

Ardmona vs TALLGAROOPNA this game is only notable because of a sense of morbid curiousity about Arho braking Craig Whelan's record of 34 goals. Wet conditions will see him retain the record, but it won't stop Ardy from getting a 40 goal + loss.

LANCASTER vs Longwood. The Wombats need the percentage and they'll be hurt after letting 4 points slip against Murch last week (they peppered the goals in the last quarter without much luck), so it'll be a 30 + goal win for Lanky.

Murchison vs. VIOLET TOWN. As much as the wet conditions and the boost in confidence for Murch after winning against Lanky last week will see this game become a potential hazard for the Towners, thier skill & abundance of guns in thier side should be enough for the to win by 19 points.

RUSHWORTH vs. Merrigum. The Dogs should nip at Rushy's heels this game, and after what they did against Nagambie, they can't be written off, but with finals looming, and some good sides breathing down thier neck, the consequences for Rushy if they were to lose this game would be massive, and that should see them hold off the Dogs in a close one by 11 points.

STANHOPE vs. Girgarre. Even with thier injuries, Stanhope need to keep onb winning, and even though the spur in ending Stanhope's chances will be strong for Gig, it won't be enough, Stanhope to win by 24 points.

Undera vs. NAGAMBIE, As close as this game might be Undera without Godsmark is a team that will struggle against quality opposition, and Nagambie need to secure a double chance and they would win here to go a long way in securing it for themselves. Nagambie by 36 points.

Avenel have the BYE

The Gum over Rushy by 4 goals. Starting to shape the finals the bulldogs. Led all day and managed to hold off a Rushy comeback in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Great win for the club. Josh stammers job in the ruck against Webb, Lambden and Wicks was particularly impressive.

Good win and well deserved by Merrigum. They have already helped shape the finals race; with Rushworth now right back amongst the chasing pack.

As far as thoroughly rebuilding a club goes they are going about it the right way.

I still think Lancaster will likely find themselves in the finals this year; falling over the line courtesy of their draw.

Don't panic Grassy I have you in the finals by 2 points, no need to worry about percentage-

VT
Undera
Nagaz
Tally
Murch

Lancy
Rushy
Avenel
Stanhope
M'gum
Gig
Longwood
Ardmona
Sparra i disagree, I watched the Murch v VT game and thought Murch were terrific but unfortunately for them they didnt get the chocolates and i think that will see Lancy or Rushy fill the final spot in the 5. Though he didnt have his best game (i have seen him a couple of times this season), Russell Lee is an absolute beauty, surely he'll take some beating in the League B&F Award.

Great win by the tigers yesterday, made hard work for themselves in making finals but still in the hunt. An exciting race for the finals this year which is great for the league..

Tigers have nagambie next week at home in a cracker, with other season defining matches in avenel hosting lancy & murch playing tally..

Ardmona were up to their old tricks again yesterday with 2 cowardly acts resulting in 2 Nagambie players being knocked out - both were taken to hospital for facial X-rays. The umpires called the game off in the last quarter after an Ardmona player king hit an unsuspecting Nagambie player - who also broke his ankle when his lights went out and he slumped to the ground.

There is no place for this type of behaviour in footy but as everyone is aware it's been happening at Ardmona for years. Surely it's time for the league to act & give Ardmona their marching orders.

Agree 90% of the KDFL trouble would have somthing to do with Ardmona , nothing will come of it as usual

90%??? It might pay to check the penalty total over the 2011 and 2012 seasons, including total number of weeks - you might get a rude shock. If the incidents are as bad as reported and the club wants something done then Nagambie only has to refuse the taking of a set penalty so that it can all come out at the tribunal.

Take Civil action against the players doing all the hitting, get the law involved its no different than a king hit out side a pub, have the mongrels charged.

Exactly....blokes need to learn that just because they pull on a footy jumper it does not give them the right to assault someone.
Since when does bigfooty make us judge, jury and executioner, l agree there is no place for cowardly acts in our game but sometimes ( not all times ) there is 2 sides to every story. Gather all the evidence first boys l would think..

I wonder If you would feel the same way Jaxbac if it was Russ Lee, Craig Whealan, Daniel Sage or any other Violet Town player being knocked out behind play??? The league shouldn't accept that sort of sh1t whatever the circumstances.

no, totally agree they should n't eccept this in our league, but there are people on here that did not see the incident so perhaps we need to let the powers that be deal with the situation, if it is that bad then Nagambie need to put up the money for an investigation. If found guilty then throw the book at them and finish their careers up to send a strong message. This did happen to us 4 years ago when the Ardy runner king hit a 18 year old VT footballers but was dealt with by the powers that be and he was deregistered..

Anybody else just really enjoying seeing Ardmona getting beaten by 200 points each week and struggling to field a reserves side?
Fingers crossed they fold before the start of next season, the league, and football in general would be better off without them.

Do you really want to see football clubs fold? I understand that Ardmona has a 'history' but to wish a club away doesn't sit well with me.

Of late Wunghnu, Thornton-Eildon and Devenish have gone into recess in our area with no new clubs filling their place.

The problem is Grasskat people actually felt for those 3 clubs. Some maybe most couldnt care less what happens to Ardy

The Ardmona player doing the king hitting fronted the tribunal last night & received 12 weeks with another 4 weeks suspended for 2 years - one slip up & he will be deregistered for life.
